Not even close. Romney care also legislated evidence based medicine. (Which is not to be confused with actual science based medicine.) Now once the pediatrician makes a diagnosis based on the risk factors in the incredibly intrusive questionnaire that the American Academy of Pediatrics shoves at the teens, the government gets to tell the doctor how the condition should be treated based on whatever “evidence” the academics are accepting at the moment. And under pay for performance, either the doctor goes along or he gets penalized financially.
Now more than ever it is important to understand whether you physician works for you or some network, and to make sure that physicians who have the spine to go the extra mile for patients are rewarded for it.
It is also important to make sure that Romney care is not exported to other states via individual health insurance mandates.
