He certainly is. He knows once a candidate wins the nomination his bargaining power signicantly diminishes. Now is the time for private closed door promises and concessions. Its how the game has always been played.

It wouldn't be a third party. The GOP has incrementally moved so far to the left over the years by replacing core conservative values with socialistic principles that it and the Dems are one party ideologically. Another party would be a second party.
