He was a security guard, not a police officer. And he was about to be robbed.

There's not a lawyer in this state stupid enough to waste his time on a civil suit agains this. Armed robbery is a felony and deadly force is authorized in self-defense against any felony in Texas.

The guard ought to send a bill for 10 cents to the two familes just to add insult to injury.
