At first I thought this was confined to a few distempered evangelicals. However, I have found after this became a public forum topic, that many of my friends who are evangelicals have the same opinion. Out of some semblance of courtesy, they never bothered to tell me what they really thought about me and my beliefs. I have never heard a person speak from the pulpit at Church against any religion. My friends tell me they get a healthy dose from their pastors against "Mormons" and even budget money for materials and efforts to oppose "Mormonism". Perhaps with the Church's explosive growth we are pulling their faithfull tithe payers away. I guess their pastors can't earn a living and preach the Word out of reverence for their Lord- they insist on being paid for it. If they lose members, they lose their livlihood. I guess they see spending money on bashing us as a business investment. Their money perish with them

Excellent rebuttal to your friends and apologists who keep posting "I never heard any mormon speak ill of another religion".

The constant effort to silence and censor those of us who oppose mormonism may eventually work here at FR, but there are many who silently agree with us.

I spoke of individuals, not of religions. I did not know "pastors" were a religion. My point stands. Pastors who insist on being paid for their ministry have their reward. Are you a pastor?
