Pentagrams (point up or down) are a very old symbol predating Christianity. Adopted by Christianity. Adopted by numerous nation states. Adopted by Free Masons. Adopted by Mormons. And not until the late 19th century adopted by (upside down) Satanist and other occult groups. Not until the latter half of the 20th century would an average American associate a pentagram inverted with the occult. Just like the rainbow (adopted by God in the Old Testament) and use for thousands of years has only in the last few decades been co-opted by the homo-lobby.
