He could be right if we stayed in Iraq at the same time, but if we
moved the conflict
from Iraq to Iran. . .

Ya know. I hate to say it,but.....
If you were any more negative, this thread would be running backwards.
You seem to have lost faith in the U.S. ability to defend itself..
Why is that?
We were coming out of a DEPRESSION and on the road to recovery when the U.S. was attacked by Japan.
And yet, we managed to muster the man power and munitions to take on a World War and win.
What makes you think taking on Iran would be a more difficult task?
I think your worries are misplaced. Or at the very least, sadly shaped by what you are reading in the MSM and some of the doom sayers on F.R.

Ya know what Iran can’t afford? The United States to turn their only refinery into a pile of rubble.

I have lost faith in the leadership. The Rumsfeld Doctrine is crap. W just wants to be George Washington to Iraq. We in no way shape or form would nuke Iran and then walk away. We would be stuck there for years with troops we do not have and spending $$$$$ keeping Iran from going back to a Mullahtrocity. I do not believe we will attack Iran unless they light a nuke first and it can be ABSOLUTEY proven then we might do something. No, we have weak leadership with no stomach for the job at hand and we suffer everyday with dirt bags like this guy kicking sand in our face because he can.
WW2 was a different time and place.

“U.S. is not in a position to impose another war in our region against their taxpayers.”
Actually, he could be 100% wrong if we say...
“ALL OF YOUR OIL FIELDS BELONG TO U.S.!”
And that would pay for Iraq and Afganistan too!
To: decimon
Who said anything about war?
This adminstration has never mentioned it.
The complete destruction of the Iranian military, nuclear infrastructure, energy infrastructure and all government/regime officals and infrastructure...is not necessarily war:)
It's called a Shock and Awe air campaign.

Iran's foreign minister said Wednesday the United States is not in a position to attack his country because Washington cannot afford another costly war in the region.Au contraire mon a mi, if I've counted correctly we have a bunch of W88s we're not using at the moment.
Oh, btw Mr. mullahs, there's an Ohio class boomer to the south of Tehran, Qom, Nantez, etc.. Not to soil your undies or anything...
