I sent and FR mail to ya.
The process is surprisingly simple, but takes time. Patience is very important.

I wonder what else he wrote:
Author Tiede, Tom.
Title(s) Calley, soldier or killer?
Publisher New York, Pinnacle Books, 1971.

I'd be interested in that info, too. I've filed requests for personnel records (see
National Personnel Records Center, but that's somewhat different than obtaining the documents you're looking for. Some after-action reports were released with Kerry's military file, and there was a boat damage report included, but I didn't see any maintenance records, deck logs, etc., which would be interesting.

Heck, if they have been declassified, you could get them from the National Archives in College Park, Maryland (this is where the contemporary military archives are housed) or from the US Naval History Centre. Heck, you can get the deck logs, if any were kept, for the PCF.
Somebody better go get copies before Kerry sends Sandy Burger to go clean house!

188 enemy hits?
Or 5 or 6 enemy hits and the boat riddled by Kerry shooting back with his eyes closed?

Or maybe it was the 188 enemy ticks.
Ticks and other pests were abundant over there.

I think for Christmas he usually visits the other members of the Addams Family :-)
Tiede started as a sports reporter in 1959, and spent 27 years as a war correspondent. After retiring he ran a bookstore called the Book Cellar. His article on Kerry's Congressional campaign said it was written from Lowell, MA. I haven't been able to determine which paper he was originally covering it for before it got picked up nationally.

everything that comes out of John F(fraud) Kerry’s mouth is B.S.
They guy is a compulsive liar, a coward, but a meglomaniac who tries at every opportunity to elevate himself.
Like his delusional accounts of his “2 tours” (4 months in reality) in Nam, His accounting of “war crimes” by himself and a bunch of pot heads who never even served in Nam to a congressional committee, (another crime he has never been held to account for)only serves to further underline this sub- human scumbags constant need to lie and remake himself into something he wasn’t.
The only truth that is evident from Kerry’s story telling is his deep seated hatred for the military and this nation, something taught to him from early childhood by his america hating grandfather.

I like the new name “Gigolo John”. Very fitting, although the “poodle” wasn’t bad either. Anyway Gigolo John still has not released his military records.

Thanks for the ping. What you report coincides with what is in
Unfit for Command In fact, Kerry was running away from the action when the explosion occurred. Kerry's fictitious written accounts have formed the basis of the official Navy record of the incidents, which is why it has been difficult to prove that Kerry was lying. The firsthand accounts of the Swiftees effectively did that, but the MSM have always tried to use the official record to paint the Swiftees as the ones who were lying.
Kerry has never released the official documentation on his first PH. I suspect that after he moved out his first unit, he fabricated the documentation. That plus two other phony PHs got him out of Vietnam in 4 and 1/2 months.
Adm. William Schachte: 'No enemy fire'--One of John Kerry's superior officers disputes the circumstances Kerry claims led to the awarding of his first Purple Heart.

I found him being a writer for the “National Enterprise Assn” from 1971-1973, with an office in NY.

His boat took 188 enemy hits When Kerry's boat got back to base, he went to clean the windscreen on the boat and there they were, 188 splattered bugs.

Thanks, I was trying to find that the other day and not turning up much! I’ve been meaning to do a broader search on what he was covering at that time, haven’t had a chance yet. Hopefully with that info I’ll have more luck.
