They ARE phony. That's what I'd call deserters and traitors. So it offends the Dems? Too bad. They can't be bothered to support our troops who are putting their lives at risk in Iraq but their feelings are hurt when Rush Limbaugh characterized their support for cowards. Boo hoo!

A caller said that and Rush commented on it. Again, trying to put words into his mouth that he didn’t say.
Chuck Hagle is a tool and he is doing all he can to undermine the President and his own party so the Dems will invite him to theirs and the press will like him.

No, the point is that many are LITERALLY phony troops. Rush wasn’t disparaging the service of actual troops; he was accusing seminar callers of falsely claiming to be troops. Whether the previous caller was phony or not, Rush couldn’t know, and so he should be careful, but many so-called anti-war troops are simply liars.
