No, the point is that many are LITERALLY phony troops. Rush wasn’t disparaging the service of actual troops; he was accusing seminar callers of falsely claiming to be troops. Whether the previous caller was phony or not, Rush couldn’t know, and so he should be careful, but many so-called anti-war troops are simply liars.

Of course they are. Like John Kerry's infamous Winter Soldiers. Its was established many never actually served in Vietnam but the MSM used their lies back then to blacken the reputation and sacrifices of those who did serve their country in Vietnam. Its no surprise the Left's phonies also want to discredit the reputation and sacrifices of those now serving our country in Iraq.
