Miss USA Rachel Smith wants to be a reporter, but she doesn't want to "end up like Katie Couric."

"I always wanted to be a reporter — maybe some TV. Who knows? Some serious news — but some modeling, too," she said at the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network event last week, according to the New York Daily News.

I'm beginning to really like this Miss USA Rachel Smith.  The girl has a head on her shoulders.  Bet Katie's camp is secretly jealous.  "If she only had a brain..."

Miss Smith stated that she's not a big party girl.  She celebrated after the pagent in her hotel room wearing a hot pink outfit, with her crown on dancing around the room.

Good for her.

Can't believe they actually went to Couric's camp to get a rebuttal to this statement.  These folks are such inbreads.

The classy response would have been to say that they hoped Miss. Smith enjoyed her time as Miss USA.  Nobody ever accused the Couric camp of having any class though.

Why is Katie still on the air?  She's done.  Stick a fork in her.  Exit stage right...  bring the hook...  they shoot horses don't they...
