Yes. It is very common in these cases for the mother of the child to be in total denial over what the boyfriend (it's almost never the biological father) is doing to her daughter.

The woman, you see, is so invested in keeping the man (not being bound to him by marriage) that she will cheerfully sacrifice her own daughter to keep him.

One of the nasty pieces of fallout from women living with men without benefit of a marriage license.

Such men are also far more likely to abuse and kill the woman's children -- which interestingly enough is what many male animals do, in order to maximize their own genetic potential with a new mate. Without a moral code, humans degenerate into wild animals.

I've seen this with my own eyes.

Apparently my younger sister endured this for years 8-12 with threat of abduction, murder, stun gun and/or firearm etc. Momma new about it and let it keep happening. I was several states away and didn't know.

Only when news was leaked to a therapist did the story break and even then momma and step dad pressured the girl to keep quiet and to claim it was "only once".

As a result he got house arrest and the rest of all of us thought that was the whole story.

I learned the full extent almost 2 years ago. Sis couldn't handle all the baggage it left her with and the good Lord called her home not to long ago.

To this day Momma still denies it happened and still communicates with the perp. We can do nothing about it all now.

To all of those like this there is a special day in hell awaiting.
