I live in NJ & I wasn’t aware he was gay. Now I sure don’t travel in “their” circles but I was pretty shocked when I heard it as were most people I know. I still can’t understand why he wasn’t charged with anything but I have heard he has the dirt on many people.

Matos McGreevey had asked him to pony up $4,000 a month in alimony to help her live a lavish lifestyle like his.Two points. This appears to be the opinion of the author of the article. Four thousand dollars a month doesn't sound like the path to a "lavish lifestyle."

With college educations, groceries, mortgage, vehicles and fuel, etc. $4K is easy to spend on a family in a month.

Re McGrevey living in another person’s house “at his pleasure”. I’m sure that this can be interpreted in many ways, none of them polite.
