The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 meters per second squared.

The speed of light is 3 x 10 to the 8th power meters per second.

But I agree with you that truthers are stupid. The building was falling measurably slower than free-fall.

The idea that the Bush administration participated in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks is not limited to fringe Web sites and conspiracy theorists

Yes it is.

There is clearly a conspiracy to fabricate baseless theories to inspire and titillate the childish egos of Bush and America haters amongst the under educated and alienated irresponsible youth and other ne’er do wells, and make some cash in the process. I’d like to see the figures of gross incomes from all the various books, tapes, pamphlets, speakers fees, etc that these charlatans have garnered over the past 6 years.

As far as the truth in the “Truth” movement, there is none. Every major theory I’ve seen has be easily and thoroughly debunked by Popular Mechanics and several others. This will continue, and there is little to stop it. We might as well ask “What makes the heathens rage?” Morons need their religions too, and this is one, apparently.

I pinged VR-21 without explanation of the quoted material because I anticipated his reaction from a long exchange of posts that we enjoyed on this thread:

Al-Qaeda planning fresh attacks on US: CIA chief

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1892720/posts

Essentially, it is clear to me that the author has it all wrong when he blames modern technology for the lack of discernment among our youth. The fault is not with a gadget but with The Frankfurt School which has let loose among us a virus called "political correctness," or "the critical theory," and is also known as "cultural Marxism" and the cumulative effect of which is to steal from these kids any absolute truth and to sink them into the swamps of relativism. They have been robbed of their ability to think. They don't know what is real. So their epistemology swims around in the ethernet.

No wonder they are so cynical that they will believe the most absurd conspiracy theory. The Frankfurt School has taken everything away from them, especially a belief in God, and, as they say, a man who believes in nothing will believe in anything.

I know you are personally familiar with The Frankfurt School from our other posts but I encourage anyone reading this thread to have a look at this essay who is curious about how a small group of intellectuals stole the birthright of so many Americans:

Who Placed American Men in a Psychic 'Iron Cage?'

Part II

The Thread of 'Cultural Marxism'

“Among self-identified Democrats, 42.6 percent chose an explanation other than the official one, as did 19.2 percent of Republicans and 30.5 percent of Independents.

“Those who doubted the official explanation also tended to be low-income, single, and young. They most frequently associated with a liberal or progressive ideology.”

Big shock. Stating the obvious.

The Pied Pipers of the psychotic left.

"Rather than being a passive receiver of information as we have been in the past, you're able to go on the Internet and choose your own sources of news and evaluate [that information] yourself," he said. "And I think it shows that the young -- the people under 30 -- have a much different approach to information."

One could substitute the word "reality" (or "truth") for "information" in your quote, and it's meaning wouldn't change substantively.

The darkness is descending.

Poor, dumb, single, liberals.

You may have hit on something significant, especially regarding "9-11 truth" and Bush Derangement Syndrome.

Those self-abuse pamphlets from the 1920's may have been right all along. It made them blind and insane.

“The 9/11 Truth movement has established itself almost entirely on the Internet, the most popular source of news for the 18-24 age group, which overwhelmingly disbelieves the official explanation for the Twin Towers collapse.”

Oh yes, the “young” are so reliable. They’re full of knowledge and wisdom, and sobriety. As well evidenced by all the crap that goes on at college campi.

It is not a Zogby poll, it is a wacko group who merely put Zogby in their name to give themselves a fake air of legitimacy. It is the finger claiming manufacturing a phony bit of propaganda to claim they are not really finger losers. This is not a serious news story, it a bit of activist propaganda dressed up to LOOK like news.

You're deeply in denial.

This was a standard Zogby poll, the same ones posted here at FR repeatedly.

Here are a couple of threads at Zogby to confirm it.
Zogby International - News - Zogby Poll: 51% of Americans Want Congress to Probe Bush/Cheney Regarding 9/11 Attacks; Over 30% Seek Immediate Impeachment

Zogby International - 9/11 Conspiracy Theories Gain Ground, Study Finds
Go to the website. You'll see that it is indeed John Zogby's polling website. Surely you must know that Zogby is widely regarded at FR as the most DNC-tainted of the polling firms.

Are you really that surprised to learn that Zogby is a hired gun, usually for libmedia (including WSJ), as all the rest? I think even Gallup does some of this kind of polling, normally they're the most ethical of the bunch.

Since when did libmedia polls become our friends here at FR?

The question these "truthers" need to answer is:

If the hijackers were in the US from 1998 to train for this, then why didn't the Clinton administration know about them for 3 years, if the Bush administration knew about it when in office for less than 9 months, establishing a "new tone" while still struggling to get Bush's Cabinet nominations through the Senate?

"The question these "truthers" need to answer is:"

Asking a bunch of leftist moonbats to use reason and rational thought is fruitless, and will only result in frustration as they ignore all your attempts and return to their scripted shrilling.

The poll, conducted by Zogby International for 911Truth.org and released last week, found that 31 percent of Americans do not accept the official explanation for Sept. 11

South Park wasn’t off by that much, low in fact, that 25 percent of the people are retarded.

There are some things that just make you worry about the future of your country.

These people can just dismiss the fact that Osama keeps taking credit for it.
