I thought, at 70 years old, I was pretty hardened to the happenings in the world today.
I sat, looking at these pictures, and tears ran down my face.
As one whose late husband flew recon missions over that area, this desecration turns my stomach and rips my heart in two.
That is just one of the reasons this infuriates me.
You have my sympathy...what the people who did this do not realize is that is is more than just stone with names etched in it. It is symbolic and MEANS something very powerful.
It means we will never forget the sacrifices of those who fought...and those who waited at home...and we won’t forget that, ever.
