Remember in 2000 when Algore BRAGGED about how he cut 400,000 jobs from the federal payroll when he was the Veep and in charge of the “Re-Invventing Government” plan for Clinton?
Anyone remember where those jobs were cut from?
It sure wasn’t from any of the Congress Critters staff that’s for sure.
In five years from 92-97 I watched the Army I served in go from 17 Divisions and seperate Brigades to 10 Divisions.
Now 51% of the combat power of the U.S. Army is in the National Guard because of what was done to us from 1993 - 2001
The Army is limited by legislation to a little over 500,000 total soldiers.
They are being temporarily allowed to “grow” because of the WoT.
We need to contact our Congress Critters and tell them to change that legislation and expand the military to realistic levels needed to sustain the WoT.
OH YEAH! Forgot to post this! 1st Warner now Hagel! Good news for us! Another RINO bites the dust!

Hagel is calling it quits
The funnies thing just happened on Reliable Sources. Howie talking about how it is that the only time Thompson comes on FNC is to talk to Hannity, but never to Colmes. Then he goes on to say that Fred has been on CNN and ABC so he is facing the media. BUT THEN HE SAYS THIS:
If he doesn’t stand up to the tough question from Woffie, George and Bob (Scheiffer) how will he stand up to the terrorists?
Of course, Howie has NEVER made a similar comment regarding the democrats fear of FNC; indeed he pretty much ignores it. I’m LOLing on this, bug time.
I was gonna say, ‘the Orca up this early?’ but I guess they tape these shows Saturday afternoon, right?
If only Kurtz had the intestinal fortitude to stand up to his Democrat Masters and ask them the same quetsion re: why they refused to participate in debates sponsored by Fox News.
Blitzed...Steffie and Schiester are partisian hacks.
If I were Thomspon and Howie had asked me that question...my response would have been..”Well I don’t talk to them because this country has a long standing trdition of refusing to negotiate with terrorists”
Excellent point, Laverne.
The Democrats won’t even participate in a debate if it’s going to be on Fox.
And BTW, Schieffer, Stephanopoulos and Blitzer don’t ask “tough” questions— they ask “loaded” questions. There is a difference.
I heard about it on FNC yesterday. You know it will be good.
He seems slow not alert and nil charisma. Now I know that to actually do the job as President you do not have to be hyper and a stunning personality but I think you need some of that to get elected in the first place.
I cannot see him holding the audience and whipping up the enthusiasm that W did at some of his election rallies (not that the MSM reported it that way but we have first hand reports here on FR that this was so).
I feel that in 2007 you must be more photogenic and be able to whip up a crowd to appeal to the public in general who are not interested in the minuet of actual policies.
Rodguy, I’m beginning to think these shows only exist to give us a chance to do this thread.
I wonder what kind of audience they get?
I can’t imagine anyone normal watching them.... present company excepted, of course.
snugs...all I will say in defense of Sen. Thompson is that all of that was said about Reagan too to a certain extent.
You see what happened there.
Fred speaks to the people in a way they understand.
I think in a way you’re falling into the trap being set by the MSM...where they convince you that style is more important than substance.
ROTFLMAO you are absolutey correct Altura!
Possibly also I think maybe the difference in culture between the English and the Americans to me as a Brit he comes over as to laid back.
Rove and the Bushes all in Dallas. That’s great.
Interesting headline; I had seen the “Patraeus or Betrayus” headline from a milblog...with discussion of Support Patraeus or betray the troops. Funny how moveon is using it to mean the opposite of its origin...but then again, the moveon crowd lives in an alternate universe. After reading your comment I switched over to stephie in time to see the horse face, so I immediately switched away. Why is that man ever on television, he is a waste of time.
Thank you for reporting that McCain took on Stephie. This is the one reason I really like Rudy, he ALWAYS tells the press they are full of it and questions their balance. McCain needs to stop attacking Rummy, it does him no good, but he can and should attack the media as often as possible.
