That JPFO and the NRA have different views on "gun control" is no secret; you can read our position -- and view supporting evidence -- at http://www.jpfo.org/alert20061211.htm . You can also read an article on the NRA's recent alignment with gun-prohibitionist Carolyn McCarthy at http://www.jpfo.org/smith-nra.htm .
And now, NRA Director Joaquin Jackson has publically stated that magazine capacities should be limited to five rounds and that "assault weapons [sic] should be limited to military or police." That's right -- a director of the supposedly pro-gun NRA wants to take YOUR semi-automatic rifles away.
Don't believe us? Think it's just a rumor? View the evidence for yourself at http://www.klru.org/texasmonthlytalks/archives/movies/jackson5_44k.mov (we also have it mirrored on the JPFO site at http://www.jpfo.org/joaquin.mov ).
Already the NRA apologists are coming out of the woodwork. Anyone who points out the hypocrisy of Jackson's position are denounced as "wackos", "black helicopter paranoids," and "just trying to make a buck."
It's time to "Humiliate and Repudiate" Joaquin Jackson and the NRA. Go to http://www.jpfo.org/handbill-joaquin.jpg to see our latest handbill. Print it out and distribute it to those who still believe the NRA is working in the interest of gun owners. They are not.
If you value the truth more than betrayal and want an aggressive defense of your natural and Second Amendment rights, visit http://www.jpfo.org/member.htm to learn how you can join JPFO. We encourage you to use our "gun control" destroying books and videos ( http://shop.jpfo.org ) and get on board with us today.

Or when, in the words of a D.C. defendant, "he's gots to go."
I cannot believe this idiot and former LE officer is so arrogant that he thinks the general public is not capable or responsible to handle any weapon of greater than 5 round capacity, pistol or long gun. AND THIS GUY IS FROM TEXAS TOO!! Where in the Sam H did this piece of excrement crawl out from....? I vote some of the NRA directors just because of their geographic location because some areas are just more likely to dislike gun control, like Texas...but this goes against what I believed and what I want...
Well, from his statement it seems like he’s being slandered by the JFPFO.

I can’t, blocked at work. They are .mov which is played by Quicktime or Media Player Classic. There are plugins for Windows Media Player that will allow it to play .mov files.

I’m posting this from the NRA, it’s their version of an explanation.
I’ll be in the bunker until the Blakk Helicopters leave.
Two rounds to the chest, yes, followed by one to the head. Repeat as necessary, if additional 'customers' present themselves for 'service'.
A long-standing hypothesis offers that any organization which is not explicitly conservative will over time become liberal. This information would tend to confirm it. Or, the person in question might just be a lone idiot. Let’s put it this way: I do not own a single weapon (and I own a few) whose magazine capacity is limited to five rounds, nor will I ever, unless the weapon in question is an RPG.
The shooter looked at the DA incredulously, and said, "Because I only had one clip, asshole!"
The best response to this kind of question was from a deputy sheriff who had shot a perp 7 times with a .45. He said "I kept shooting him until he stopped pointing his gun at me."
Kind of hard to argue with that.
So, did this fellow in your example get a contempt charge slapped on him? I'm sure the look on the DA's face was priceless, too.
I see ... Is he one of the bastards the sold machine-gun owners down the river in '86?
Looks like the guy is a liar too. A full auto that ought to be good with 1 round, but ought to limited to a max of 5 rounds? BS. He knows damn well full suto is class III and very few folks have that option.
"I understand how some people may mistakenly take my comments to mean that I support a ban on civilian ownership of semiautomatic firearms."
Yeah, you think the people are stupid. Mistake my butt!
"I have actively opposed gun bans and ammunition and magazine bans in the past, and I will continue to actively oppose such anti-gun schemes in the future."
Yeah, BS walks, you're interview talked.
NRA is in CYA mode now. This fool needs to be fired immediately.
Also, perception is more influential than reality. If it is percieved that his view is NRA’s views then it will hurt the NRA. Unfortunately they have reality of other indiscretions (I just know I butchered that) such as caving on other things that will over step their support of the sunset of the “AWB”. Until they start taking a hardline stance (like JPFO) and start throwing their weight around against even things that could remotely impact gun owners (like GOA does) they will be hurt by perception.
Take Smith & Wesson, the perception is that they are still anti 2nd. Whereas the owners that caved to the Clintons are the ones that did, they have since left and the new owners have reversed that screw up.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Anyone else see a disconnect here?
Damn.....
Where are you today?
I suggest a FReep of NRA.ORG and NRA-ILA.ORG
I told them to get rid of this asshole NOW !
I left the NRA years ago when they began to get wishy washy. I just posted Jackson’s statement as a matter of interest. If it was up to me there would be gun grabbers hanging from every street light.
This is why I don’t want to be part of the NRA.
