Kucinich Visits Syria, Shuns U.S. Troops(Another traitor from the "Cut & Run" Party)

After praising Syria following a meeting in Damascus with President Bashar Assad, Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich declared he will not visit troops in Iraq during his Middle East tour because he considers the American military presence in Iraq to be illegal.

"I feel the United States is engaging in an illegal occupation ... I don't want to bless that occupation with my presence," Kucinich said in Lebanon, according to the Associated Press. "I will not do it."

The Ohio congressman accused the Bush administration of destabilizing the Middle East and praised Syria for receiving Iraqi refugees.

"What most people are not aware of is that Syria has taken in more than 1.5 million Iraqi refugees," Kucinich said, according to the AP. "The Syrian government has actually shown a lot of compassion in keeping its doors open and being a host for so many refugees."

Kucinich said Assad was receptive to his ideas of "strength through peace."

The Democratic lawmaker plans to ask U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to respond to "dire conditions in southern Lebanon.

He pointed in particular to Israeli cluster bombs remaining from the 2006 war with Hezbollah that have killed more than 30 and injured at least 200 since the end of the conflict.

As WND reported in April, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Syria to meet with Assad was lauded by terrorist leaders in the region as "brave" and "very appreciated."

Syria openly hosts top leaders of Palestinian terror organizations, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

At a press conference after her April meeting, Pelosi said that during her talks with Assad she "determined that the road to Damascus is the road to peace."

And then sent a bunch back with weapons and terrorist training...

“Strength through peace”?

That makes as much sense as gargling with “Liquid Plumber.”

Geezy-peezy. What a bazoo!

What’s bad is out of BOTH parties Kucinich is most closely aligned with Ron Paul on the issues.

Dennis Kucinich is too busy asking for earmarks for unbudgeted items just to benefit his district.

Syria is a terrorist state. It has been for fifty years or more, yet Kucinich picks that nation to level charges against our Iraqi efforts.

I think it’s best he doesn’t meet with our troops. It would be a significant insult to them.

Assad was receptive to Kucinich’s peace plans. Really? Who could have forseen that?

Let’s see, Kucinich seems pleased that he could be offering up something Assad could agree to. Imagine how thrilled he will be to find out that his plans echo those of Osama Bin Laden. These three people are in lock step. Now there’s a Liberal Terrorist Trifecta if ever there was one.

Hurry back to the US Kucinich, Pelosi and Reed can’t wait to see you and offer up their congratulations. Cindy Sheehan will be laying down palm frons. Don’t make her wait. You won’t be riding an ass when you arrive home, but there will most certainly be a world class one close by.

No wonder this little POS went all the way to the Middle East...on OUR DIME BTW...and didn’t even have the class to visit the AMERICAN troops in Iraq and/or Afghanistan.

How these sorry POS can walk the streets of America unmolested is a mystery to me...I know they don’t dare show their miserable faces in Orange County,CA!

I know I haven’t seen Sanchez since she was elected...
and I live right next to her district!

If the editors of the Oxford English Dictionary retire words that fall into disuse from time to time, I would suggest they take a look at “treason”.

It may be that Dennis Kucinich is a little afraid of what may happen to his person if he should be in the presence of US military troops. For him, it would be like facing a bunch of ferocious and ill-tempered cave men, Dennis thinks they are uncivilized.

And he wants to be commander-in-chief of these same troops? Chutzpah knows no limits.

“I don’t want to bless that occupation with my presence,” Kucinich said “

Kucinich’s presence would have CURSED the occupation, so it’s a good thing he didn’t appear.
