Fred could have had equal time had he announced earlier. The MSM will be supporting thier favorite dems anyways so the fairness doctrine wouldn’t matter to them. Fred can now start raising some real money now and getting his face out there.

if Thompson can manage a non-campaign no better than thRunning a campaign is alot like running a business...you rid your organization of non-productive dead wood. Why hang on to and pay for non-productive individuals and individuals that don't fit in organization structure?

The average person doesnt care about the debates Exactly right. They're only opportunities to make a boo-boo or have a gotcha moment, ala Dan Quayle and Lloyd Bentsen.

Hmm, I think you are right about Fred or Rudy having a chance to beat Hilary. Seems to me Romney might, even McCain. But I don't think they are getting the nomination. Then again, if the top two falter, one of the others is needed to move up.
I think a very solid half of voters don't want Hilary.

FT will get the Republican nomination, so the real question is who will be his running mate. That may determine the outcome of the election.
