I've found quite a number of Conservative Ladies to possess those qualities as well as many more virtues; sadly they've all been married "sigh"

OK, so one day back in my youth, when I was about 30 or so, I’m out with a bunch of co-workers, some who have brought along friends outside of work. During the evening I keep catching the eye of this really nice looking girl and, being single and lonely, I’m thinking, hey, this looks like somebody worth learning more about. Finally I find myself in a one on one with her and hit it off right away. I’m in heaven. This girl has everything. We’re making goo goo eyes at each other and I KNOW I’m gonna get her phone number. So the group starts breaking up and I say, “It’s really been great talking to you. I mean, you’re so smart and good looking. You’ve got it all.”
Her face becomes as dark as cobalt and you would have thought I had just handed her a dead kitten. She gave me a curt, “nice meeting you too” as she rolled her eyes and then walked away.
The next day I told the guy in our who knew her what had happened and asked him if understood what had happened. He offered some lame explanation about how she had a certain perspective about guys in the South, and that was it. To this day I don’t understand what the hell is wrong with saying “smart and beautiful” to a woman. The ONLY thing I can figure is that she presumed that I presumed women couldn’t be or shouldn’t be both. But why would she think that?
