Volunteers are need for Jackson Heights, Queens, and Flushing for prayer vigils in front of abortion mills for a 40 day vigil beginning on September 26, 2007.
If you want to get sick, look at the Yellow Pages under “abortion”. The words “gentle” and “caring” are the ones that are unbelievable.
BUMP
“Women’s Healthcare Centers”: where “Healers” provide “Gentle”, “Loving” care for your “healthcare” needs.
I was involved in a conference call last night about the program. People from Dallas, Texas and Madison Wisconssin were on and they were very encouraging. I was feeling very overwhelmed until I listed to them. The emphasis is on prayer as opposed to politics. I have noticed, incidentally, that some abortionists in NYC are located in very beautiful residential buildings - I would never rent space teo such a group! I wonder if the same people who give them leases would also lease to tatoo parlors which, after all, are lega.
Not too “gentle” on the babies!
pinging some pro-lifers
Just in. I’ll talk to the friars, Silent No More and the rest of the CPC gang.
I hope people participate. IF you look at the ads in the Yellow Pages, your hair will fall out. “No parental consent needed . . . abortions up to 36 weeks. . . discrete caring physician”. Ugh! I have a question for the more experienced: is it better to have vigils at “clinics” that have a lot of traffic or at smaller places which are inconspicuous and have neighbors who may not even know what is going on because they are so “discrete”?
We will be meeting for dinner on Friday in Queens to discuss the 40 days for life program - please email me and I will give you the details when I have them.
Please go onto the website, 40daysforlife.com to read about the program and see if you can participate.
EWTN Frequently repeats their programs.
Just wanted to give you a quick “heads-up” that the EWTN global cable television network will be airing a 30-minute documentary about 40 Days for Life TOMORROW — Monday, September 3.
This inspiring show was filmed by an Emmy-award winning producer and was aired once before in June by EWTN. After receiving overwhelming positive viewer response to the show, they are airing it again on a day when many people can see it — Labor Day!
Here are the details...
WHAT: “beingHUMAN: 40 Days for Life” TV special

This is a great way to introduce people to the groundbreaking 40 Days for Life campaign that will be happening in more than 80 cities this fall.
Have a great holiday!

National Campaign Director
40 Days for Life
P.S.- If you’re like me and don’t have cable, or if your local cable or dish service doesn’t offer EWTN, you can watch the show online at the EWTN web site at the same time it airs on TV.
When the show starts, go to: http://www.ewtn.com
On the top bar, click “Television” then choose one of the “Live TV” options (English or Spanish) and then select your preferred media player. The show should start in that player.
It’s official!
Registrations for this fall’s nationwide 40 Days for Life campaign have been closed and the list of participating cities has been finalized.
84 cities in 33 states (plus the District of Columbia) will be joining together from September 26 - November 4 to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.”
We can’t wait to see what God has in store for America this fall!
Please review the list at the bottom of this message, and...
1.) Pray for the courageous efforts of the
faithful people in these cities
2.) Consider getting actively involved in the
city nearest you (We’ll get you contact
information for these locations soon.)
I also have a personal prayer request...
Until last week, the entire national 40 Days for Life effort was being organized by all volunteers on a part-time basis.
Due to the overwhelming response of 84 cities deciding to join this effort, we quickly realized that full-time staffing was vital to ensure that each location would receive all of the help and support they deserve.
After much prayer and discernment, I stepped down from my position as Executive Director at American Life League to immediately go to work full-time as the campaign director for this fall’s 40 Days for Life. (The folks at American Life League were very gracious in accepting my decision and allowing me to make this change.)
40 Days for Life is the single most important pro-life project I have ever been a part of, and I’m thrilled to be able to now devote 100% of my professional focus to this campaign.
My family and I would greatly appreciate your prayers during this time of transition.
Yours In Christ,
David Bereit
National Campaign Director
