In reading his “clarification per your post, I dont think he has changed from his original statement. He just added another agency’s mission.

So long Mr. Carillo!!!!

I think your claim that you could eliminate illegal "drugs" is preposterous.

Prohibition has been given a chance. It failed for alcohol, and it has failed for "drugs."

“Sounds like he is just following orders, and the person who needs to be fired is well above him.”

Could that person be Senor Jorge Bush?

Ok.

"Give me 20 years as Drug Czar and there would be virtually NO illegal drugs in U.S.A."

I think your claim that you could eliminate virtually all illegal drugs is preposterous.

This is a good example of how our government operates. It is ran by morons with complete job security of which 90%+ vote democratic.

The more illegals the border patrol lets in the more votes the democratics get.

Our government is a joke.

He needs to be fired. If he doesn't understand the mission of his own agency, time to show him the door for someone who DOES get it.

“Sure there was?”

your ignorance of history is laughable

there was no where in America during “prohibition” that anyone who wanted to purchase alcohol couldn’t... just like your “war on drugs”
both were window dressing

According to the CBP's website:

The priority mission of the Border Patrol is preventing terrorists and terrorists weapons, including weapons of mass destruction, from entering the United States. Border Patrol Agents patrol nearly 6,000 miles of international land border with Canada and Mexico and nearly 2,000 miles of coastal border. Undaunted by scorching desert heat or freezing northern winters, they work tirelessly as vigilant protectors of our Nation's borders.

From the Border Security page.

My gosh, the man told the simple truth. We should give him a medal for not lying to us like the rest of the White House does.

I agree that both have been worthless failures. I vote we restore the Constitution and end failed prohibition part two.

“Even if he had included the word primary, though, how do you stop terrorists if your job is not to stop illegals?”

Carillo has the “Dumba$$ Statement of the Year” locked up :-)

There has never been a war on drugs. For starters, you can’t have open borders, as most drugs are brought in from
across the border.

Bears repeating:

U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"

We need someone at a Press Conference to get this question into the President, if he wouldn't call the 30 million plus illegals who have snuck in under his and Xlinton's watch an "invasion".

Let me get this straight...no to stopping illegals, drugs, or criminals and only stopping terrorists. I sure hope all the terrorists crossing the borders will be kind enough to wear t-shirts printed with I'm a terrorist...arrest me on the front, for greater ease. This guy is an idiot.
