I’m not buying that excuse. He still has his personal info up there — name, location, age, school etc. The only thing he’s changed is his political history — and the embarrassing plan to troll for votes at Moveon.org. His bio used to say he voted for Kerry, then jumped around from libertarian, to democrat, etc. Now, suddenly, he changes it is all aboard for Ron Paul!

Nevertheless, the screencaps are still available on this thread via my Photobucket account. And you're free to point those things out. This thread, now no longer in Breaking News, has attracted the vast majority of viewers that can be expected here on a late August "news" thread.

Look, a lot of people flop around a bit between parties and causes when they get into politics. We have a lot of former Libertarians here, many many former liberal Democrats, etc. I can just imagine the kinds of political opinions a "soccermom" might have held when she was 21 like Karsten is. And yet, he does articulate a good small-government, liberty, sound-economy agenda. He is, in fact, delightfully typical of our younger RP supporters, excited by a message that we once heard from Ronald Reagan and Newt Gingrich and from the great Austrian economists.

Certainly, we have Libertarians and Dims in our midst as a minority among RP supporters along with many single-issue voters of so many different kinds I could never describe them all. But our message is a classic conservative Republican message of liberty and small-government. Exactly as Kirsten and his Meetup comrade, theoreticalgirl, have shown in their posts here.

I can just imagine the kinds of political opinions a "soccermom" might have held when she was 21 like Karsten is. Actually, this soccermom was probably at her most conservative when she was 21. Well, I would say I'm just as conservative now -- just not gung-ho reactionary the way I was back then. I understand your point that people can change ---- but that many times in 3 years?

"And yet, he does articulate a good small-government, liberty, sound-economy agenda. He is, in fact, delightfully typical of our younger RP supporters, excited by a message that we once heard from Ronald Reagan and Newt Gingrich and from the great Austrian economists." First of all, I would disagree that RP has the same message as Reagan or Gingrich. Second, Karsten may be articulating those principles here. but that is not the message he was proposing to take to Moveon.org. The fact is, he advocated trolling for Moveon.org moonbats and he advised people to bring the anti-war material. (I didn't see him anxious to spread the small government principles over at the Moveon.org rally.) If he were the idealistic, enthusiastic kid you seem to think he is, he wouldn't be selective about his message and his audience. His are the actions of a cynical, manipulative Paul operative.

Just yesterday, you and EEE were whining that this thread was sooooooooo unfair because it was guilt-by-association. This guy doesn't represent Ron Paul etc. Then he comes on here, schmoozes a little with the conservative line, makes his Moveon.org stuff disappear and we're supposed to all buy into the RP is a conservative sales pitch? "But our message is a classic conservative Republican message of liberty and small-government. Exactly as Kirsten and his Meetup comrade, theoreticalgirl, have shown in their posts here." LOL! And is that the same "message" he trots out at the Moveon.org events? Not according to what he posted! Sorry, you can't have it both ways. If RP activists are going to recruit at moonbat events, you can't turn around and whine when we link RP to moonbats.
