Yes, OSS Was Riddled With Communists
Human Events Online ^ | 07/23/2007 | Mark LaRochelle

... Lt. Col. Duncan Chaplin Lee was confidential assistant to Gen. Donovan from 1942-46. ... The sad truth, however, is that Lee was just one of many identified Soviet agents in the OSS. Others, as we now know from numerous impeccable sources, included Maurice Halperin, Carl Marzani, Franz Neumann, Helen Tenney, Julius and Bella Joseph and Lee’s Oxford classmate, Donald Niven Wheeler.

It's been long established that there were many Soviet agents working in the State Department and many other US government agencies...particularly since WW II.In fact American leftists first developed their hatred of Richard Nixon because he spoke out against Alger Hiss.

"How dare you call him a Communist, you fascist pig?" they'd say.But the joke was on them (as if they didn't really know)! Hiss was a Communist agent!

Joseph McCarthy wasn't *nearly* as far off the mark as the left has continuously claimed since the 50's!

The US govt of the 40’s, particularly FDR’s administration, was pretty well filled with commies and Soviet agents.

Does one then have to wonder how Russia went from being a third-world s#!+hole before the war, to being one of two super-powers after the war.

My paternal grandfather worked in China prior to and through the early stages of WW2. He was often at the US Embassy on business or visiting friends.

He hated the Dept of State. Said it was nothing but a haven for socialists and 5th columnists.

Or how the USSR was allowed to occupy eastern europe, or how they stole the A-bomb, or why we put our major military effort against Germany when it was Japan that attacked us.

"True, Bentley’s views did appear[to Lee] “extreme,” “communistic” and “pro-Soviet,” but he never looked upon her as a “suspicious person,” which would have required him to report her to his superiors."

Lee sounds like he would have done well at Homeland Security.

He was because he under estimated the number of commies in our government.

It goes back much farther than most people want to admit.

Read up some on the Barbary Pirates issue, the US force sent to deal with it and the undercutting and betrayal of that force by a POTUS in love with the continuation of the “european diplomacy” idiocy.

Communism as a concept predates the founding of the US and the French Revolution and utopianist idiots have been with us for as long as there’s been humans.

Look to any point where the US harms itself and you’ll usually find those in charge working to emulate whatever braindead idiocy was popular in europe at the time.

“or why we put our major military effort against Germany when it was Japan that attacked us.”

Uh, because Germany declared war in the USA, as part of its alliance w/ Japan? Does that ring a bell?

Japan was pinned back after Midway (July 1942), no longer much of a threat to invade the USA or even more Pacific territories. That freed us to fight a ground war in Europe, and time to rebuild our naval assets to being the assault against Japanese-held islands.

Ringing a bell yet?

“Joseph McCarthy wasn’t *nearly* as far off the mark as the left has continuously claimed since the 50’s!”

Their problem with Joe was never that he wasn’t right — they knew that then and they know it now. Their problem was that he WAS right and they were the targets.

Indeed! In fact it predates the United States and has been at work to to undermine the same from the start. Much if not all of it begins with the writings of a fellow by the name of Jean Jacques Rousseau with his The Social Contract.

That’s not all either. Another issue that predates the US is anti-Americanism.

We were declared beastly and degraded by the “sciences” of europe even before we had a name for ourselves as differentiated from Britain.

I know I’m a bit off topic, but, the commonality of my comments is a deep hatred of all the various degeneracies of thought that have issued from europe like a sick slurry of blood and feces from a ruptured anus.
Communism is part of that slurry.

Shouldn’t you change ‘were’ to ‘are’? While we’re at it, let’s include Congress and the Senate in the pool of traitors.

Communism is part of that slurry.

And yet most have accepted, and continue to adhere to, great blocks of their philosophy.
