There will be a memorial service at MCAS Chapel on Wed. Aug 22,2007 at 0900 [am]. The public are invited to attend this.
May I request at least one FREEPER be to show our support for these guys.
I really wish I could attend. My husband knew these guys, he worked with them. Since he can’t, he really wanted me to go. I am still trying to rearrange my schedule so I can attend.
I too wish that I could be there, but I am stranded up here in MI.. We [all of the local MARINES that I know] have been lowering our flags to half mast for these guys.
For now they fly with the Angles!
God bless you for doing that. Major Freitas’ wife is expecting a baby in January. It is a terribly heartbreaking situation, not that any of these situations aren’t. My husband was with H&HS until he switched to his current unit to replace someone who didn’t want to go to Iraq. He had gone up there with Major Freitas and Sgt. Osgoode a couple of times. I, myself, had never met them, but I can’t even imagine what their families are going through.
