Labor Day weekend plan to go dove hunting down in Texas Tis everywhere I believe. Migratory bird federal law.
I'm there with my 8 shot and 20 gauge over a field of 10 day cut sunflower.

I sure would like to see Congress pass a law making it mandatory for people to have REAL jobs. Maybe these PETA buffoons could take over for all the illegal aliens who are going home. Their skill levels appear to be about the same.

Don’t know how Carl Rove feels about it, but God help the PETA creep who hoses up my Sept. dove hunting.

95% of PETA members are rebellious, anorexic teenage girls.

If he’s not wearing white he should have a good day. :^)

95% of PETA members are rebellious, anorexic teenage girls. LOL! They are also fond of taking off their clothes in public. Exhibitionists.

I’ll be hunting early and late on opening day. Maybe I’ll take pics of my birds and send them to PETA.

I wish that everyone here would post their favorite dove recipe and we could send a link for this thread to the PETA gal.

I’d be more than glad to be out there with him. I’ve already got the day scheduled off for my annual Opening Day shotgun salute to the doves. I still need to go get a license, but darn near everything else is in readiness now.

Yup and these Girls are clashing with Black Americans who are supporting Vick in his “dog fighting” scandal. This will be fun to watch!

Maybe the term doves does not help actually in Britain we tend to call them wood pigeons dove does give a picture to the ill informed mind such as PETA supporters of white doves in a dove cot

Yep, we call the game birds "mourning doves" (Zenaida macroura) to distinguish them from the domestic birds which are called "pigeons", although they are technically "rock doves" (Columba livia).
Over here, nobody calls a domestic pigeon a "dove" - except for the ornithologists and the peaceniks.
