I'm an Air Force veteran who believes in the freedom of all.

So am I and so do I.

I was not offended. As for the last question, that is a heavily guarded secret of the Sisterhood. You have to be a member to find out.

(this is graybeard isn’t it? I’m having trouble seeing the screen)

Hey, I see your posts all the time and you are a true conservative. That post had me confused and making sure I didn’t jump in the river without checking the depth. You made me laugh. Thanks for that. Eye

I would advise caution unless you care more about accessing FR at work than maintaining employment at your current company. Many companies not only restrict access to various sites BUT also monitor what sites are being accessed by their employees.
At most of the companies I’ve worked for, this was a standard practice and management would receive monthly reports delineating who, when, and where. I’ve seen more than a few people get fired and not just for porn. Good luck with whatever you decide.

See if they have wireless and will allow your personal computer at work?
If they will give you a password and you are not using their computers, they may not care.

In a related deal, I was at Panera on their free wi-fi for breakfast and there was a ban on www.perezhilton.com

That is a gossip website, I don’t get it.

FreeRepublic had no problem.

Between O'Reilly trying to brand us a "hate" site, and Ford's appearance on Hannity (note the attacks coming through an allegedly right winged news venue) FR may be getting banned or blocked as a result.

If so, we need to vehemently, as a community online, fight to overturn the allegations of being a "hate" site, or this is just the beginning.

are people still having problems?

I wonder if these blocker sites block sites with extensive use of family UNfriendly explitives.

also if the double standard of allowing democrat bias sites (regardless of explitives) but banning FR is still going.

I think it is more an effort of the commercial news sites tying to direct traffic over to their own “blogs” (idiots don’t understand difference between forums and blogs)

If this continues, FR may even have a defamation (published statement) and slander (stated statement) due to the traffic blocking damage from Oreily’s mischaracterization.

The MIS boys at Postal Headquarters installed a filtering program once that banned access to Google.com ~ while letting you use Dogpile.com. Laughs all around.

The software gave that same message ~ "anonymizer" too.

Might simply check with the MIS guys to see if they purchased a slightly used bargain.

It could have been blocked because said FREEPER makes too many hits on it per day and the company realized that fact.

If there are no similar amount of hits on other sites then why block them??

I had a similar problem on Monday. The software said “Access denied due to sexual content.” Yesterday it worked fine.
