Did this woman "sandbag" the guy? IMO,it was completely reasonable for the woman to turn him in.If the laws of VA allow a prosecution so long after the fact then so be it.While I'm inclined to admire the guy for having fessed up when he had essentially "beaten the rap" it would be very unreasonable for him to expect that nothing would have come of his "confession".

Your use of the word "fessed" is a bit ambiguous here. I think he was confessing to her that he knew that the experience hurt her (I expect many of us have done things that 'hurt' someone emotionally), but he wasn't intending to be CONFESSING to a crime.

He confessed for his behavior, and she, in turn, in their e-mail exchanges, likely told him that she felt like she was violated.

He upped the ante in his own need to make things right by 'validating' that, OK, that he is sorry that he did that.

She then turned around and used his own words to get him arrested.

The judge, by the way, saw all of this, and made his sentencing decision accordingly.

That seems about as close to the truth as anything I’ve read. I’d have to say I agree. The conflicting stories she has told, some of the obvious hate on her website, the DWI she received in April as someone reported. All of this suggests to me that we are not seeing or hearing from someone that is very stable. I don’t say that lightly. She just seems crazed and not straight with her story.
