FReeper Canteen ~ Hints & Tips Thursday ~ 2 August 2007
August 1, 2007 | Entertaining the Troops Committee

Posted on 08/01/2007 6:00:30 PM PDT by beachn4fun

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT

Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

HINT & TIPS

Welcome to another installment of the FReeper Canteen Hints & Tips. Hopefully, you’ll find something here that you’ve never heard before. If you have tried one of these hints, please share your thoughts on it.

Tonight, we’ll do some general household hints.

*** Metal cookie cutters double up nicely as unique napkin holders for special dinners. If you want, spray paint them to match the decor.

*** Remove adhesive from stickers on glass by rubbing vegetable oil with a soft cloth or paper towel, then wash.

*** Pan size is measured from the top, not the bottom.

*** Put used steel wool scrubbing pads in a plastic bag and store in the freezer to help prevent rust.

*** Trouble putting the lid on a plastic container? Run the lid under hot water for 20-30 seconds and it will close easily.

*** Glass tabletops will sparkle if you rub gently with lemon juice or with vinegar, then dry with paper towels and polished with newspapers.

(All hints found on websites. Management makes no claims to the effectiveness of any hints)

Join us again next week for more hints.

I was VERY careful, and mr B helped me climb aboard and dismount.
He’s a Knight he is!

The ride was only a mile, and we took it real easy..
How was your day?

How do you get AFN Korea in Alaska?!

If you have cable tv, it's on the Pentagon Channel. If you don't have cable, you can watch it online.

The viewing guide

Poke around here.

If you click in the upper right hand corner to view live, it is the same thing I am seeing on my tv right now.

I live in Northern California. We don't get the Pentagon channel. But we do get some programming from Free Speech TV and Democracy Now!.

Two of the many reasons I no longer have cable. LOL!

Thanx so much, trussell...haven't heard this one in years, and it's a classic, IMO.

JWR was a mere 18 when he recorded this, as I remember...

Everything should be dual purpose....you've been most inventive. You get lots of points for ambidextrous dusting.

I know what you mean!
There is just nothing like it!
I have a feeling when Mr Luv gets a load of Petey, that he will want another bike!
Maybe we can let them play with that basket case Indian motorcycle, and we can go shopping!
BTW, tell Mr Luv if he has not seen ‘The Worlds Fastest Indian” to go and rent it, it’s awesome!
We watched that on the the bus on the way home from DC!

Well, then you can check it out online. txradioguy and Jet Jaguar were both over there for a year. tx did a drive time radio show and reporting from Camp Casey. JJ was at Osan AFB. It was neat seeing and hearing about the places they were.
