Remember, the transcontinental railroad took 6 years with 1860’s technology - and the lack of a railroad wasn’t a terrorism risk. The fence should not take that long to build. Keep the pressure on!
Good point about building the railroad. I have seen similar behavior from government before. The neighbors wanted a couple of traffic bumps put into the long downhill road near Casa RKV. The city put 8 of them in a 3/4 mile strip. It was planned to fail, and yep pretty soon people wanted them out. All the locals wanted was one or two to stop the drag racing. This, like building the border fence in an area like this one in Texas is designed to cause maximum grief and do as little as possible to actually stop illegal immigration.
