BINGO! That's my main bone to pick... if it was cheaper, I'd buy it, but I lose over 30% MPG efficiency when burning E85 in my Tahoe... in some mid-western states they skip the state taxes on E85 which makes it cheaper than Regular Unleaded, but here in Texas, E85 is more expensive than regular when you take into account you have to buy 30% more of it than you do regular to go the same distance.
E85 is a joke.

The MPG decrease makes ethanol more expensive that gasoline. The difference is that the money goes to producers in the United States, not a bunch of murdering bedouins in some sand-blown hellhole.
