I listened to Air America and it seemed like every word was the “F-Word” and hate for Bush was the central theme. The liberals believe and operate on the assumption that it is there job, to point out others’ faults and point the finger at why the country is so currently screwed up at “whitey”.
The term I hear bandied about is “unintentionally racism”. So your speech is not racist on purpose, but you acting out of ignorance and insensitive to people of color. So if they get you to shut up completely they have achieved their major goal.
It is amazing how many people just shut up after training. I just read that test market advertising won’t get blacks and whites in the same group because a white won’t ever disagree with a black — on the taste of Coke for example.

Same thing when Hazel O’Leary was Secretary of Energy. By her dictate, no white male heterosexuals were to get promotions - at all - or performance ratings above a certain level.
There was one high level meeting at Los Alamos National Laboratory where the content involved classified information. Hazel O’Leary straightaway bitched that there were not enough “people of colour” and refused to allow the meeting to go forward until she was satisfied with the proper number of “people of colour” in attendance. And she was rather imperious about it - threatening people’s jobs. Well, her quota was met - and then they could not discuss anything (then again she would not be able to understand one bit of it anyway). In the mad scramble to meet the “people of colour” quota, there were some in attendence who did not have the proper clearance levels.
She also did away with colour coding of security badges. The colour coding referred to certain areas of the facility - clearance is compartmented, I won’t go further. In her mind, the colour coding was racist, and had to be one away with immediately.
She was also known for shaking down vendors and contractors for “donations” to her favorite charities (of which I wonder if she could be involved in some 419 schemes after she left office?).
Of course, I answered no. If I was truly myself at work, I'd be harrassed for being a conservative bigot who despises idiot co-workers - no matter what color their skin or orientation.
I just got the UVM Quarterly mag last week, and it fell open to the president's column, titled "Diversity Never More Salient". It just reinforced the reasons why I stopped reading the mag a long time ago.
I didn't think much of whatshisname when they hired him, with his attitude at the time, then his never ending spending sprees.
Oh well.
The same could be said about almost any other school now a days. A Clintonista even tried to the do some right things at Harvard, and was run out on a rail.
I was going to b-school at night, and I think it was in Organizational Behavior that we had to do the "go around the room" routine. One black woman said he was in HR at Polaroid, and she was specializing in [employment] diversity.
She should have realized that Polaroid should have been concentrating on product diversity...
The last time I heard about “Hazel O’Leary”, she was the president of some college, and caused a commotion on an airplane.

You just have to learn some pre emptive self preservation tactics...like saying something about feeling harassed for age, color, sex, etc. out loud to no one in particular but where many can hear it...or accusing the boss of hating you because he thinks your gay...it won’t take long before you’re untouchable!
I’ve read that stupid comment and I would love to see someone challenge her not-so-subtle message that whites have no rights.
Something along these lines: okay Ms. Elliot, I have a question: how did you get here? You probably either flew here or drove here. Let’s see last time I remember the automobile and the airplane were invented by white males. If you or one of your relatives gets sick you take them to a doctor. Are you aware that the overwhelming majority of modern medicine and its accomplishments in the field of research and drug development was and is, developed by white males?
Perhaps you should live in a grass hut and go to the witch doctor the next time you get sick.
That doesn’t work if you’re a white male. We’re marked.
Obviously you haven’t tried it yet.
