Man, this load from the Seattle-PI has it all. I'm shocked he left out space aliens and the tooth fairy as responsible for global warming denial as well.

All responsible for global warming threat includes:

Republicans Creationists Chinese water grabbers Timber industry "Right-wing" Canadian Press "Right-wing" Drudge Report Gore Bashers Tennesse Think Tanks Drive-by shooting style global warming deniers in the media

Want to see an global-warming-whacko's brain short-circuit? Show 'em this.

Don't trust main stream media. Their scare tactics have flip-flopped four times over the last eighty-some years.

The following graphs show that Earth is in a brief period of global warming called an interglacial. The longer time spans, the deep troughs are glacial periods. The line that runs across the graphs is the temperature in 1950 and listed as "0" on the left axis.

As can be seen in Figure 1-5, Earth appears ready to move toward another ice age in the cycle.

I'm more concerned with sustaining global warming to offset global cooling and the next ice age.

Ice Ages & Astronomical Causes
Brief Introduction to the History of Climate
by Richard A. Muller

Origin of the 100 kyr Glacial Cycle

This first graph looks bad, doesn't it -- steeper upward temperature trend. Horizontal red line is temperature at 1950.

Figure 1-1 Global warming

The second graph shows today's temperature isn't out of the norm. Horizontal blue line is temperature at 1950.

Figure 1-2 Climate of the last 2400 years

The next graph shows a downtrend in temperatures from 8,000 years ago to today. The down trend is steeper in the recent 2,000 years. From left to right the upper spikes have lower highs while the lower spikes have lower lows. (The same effect can be seen in Figure 1-2, above.)

Figure 1-3 Climate of the last 12,000 years

This graph shows that agriculture and  stationary societies emerged 8,000 years ago during a time frame when global temperature was much higher than normal, or average.

Figure 1-4 Climate of the last 100,000 years

The next graph shows that the recent 8,000 years was one of five brief hot spikes when glaciers were at minimums. With much longer troughs when glacials (ice ages) were the norm most of the time.

Figure 1-5 Climate for the last 420 kyr, from Vostok ice

The graph below is reversed. That is, the left side is present day and the right side is 3 million years ago. It shows a 3 million year down trend toward widening extremes in the temperature cycle.

Figure 1-6 Climate for the last 3 million years

The final graph shows CO2 lagging temperature change -- not leading it.

Figure 1-7 CO2 and temperature for the last 450 kyr

When man can cause meaningful global warming yesterday would be a good time to begin thwarting the next ice age.

Here's Another video showing what an imbecile Al Bore is.

The moonbats have been voting down the first video "Inconvenient Hypocrisy", be sure to vote it back up to the top of the heap of videos about Al Bore.

Good anti-Global Warming video that picks apart Gore's stupid film.

Oh darn. Now I feel bad..real bad.

Were having global cooling here in Mpls today..a high in the mid 70’s, last week we had global warming highs in the upper 90’s. I just wish our mother the earth would make up her mind on what the climate is going to do.

Political Correctness was designed to silence all opposition to the liberal agenda. That agenda is creating a U.S.S.A. run by a liberal dictatorship (eliminating the electoral process and replacing it with mob rule).

Global Warnings goal is not to save the earth. The Earth is doing just fine. The goal is a fascist take over of major industries like oil and electricity etc. by using fear of mass annihilation as a propaganda tool.

In order for Socialism to work (although eventually the money will still run out and segments of the population will have to die for the sake of the "common good", like the unborn, elderly, or disabled to begin with.) absolute control of all the nations finances is a must (It's the only way to "equally share the wealth"). For example, Hillary even admitted she would like to take control of our health care and take the oil profits to use them for socialist programs.

It's all about power and absolute control - nothing more.

Their new tactic is the drive-by shooting.

How long has Rush been using "Drive By Media"? If you can't beat 'em, steal from 'em.

I have decided not to get excited about these idiots. When we have record cold in Scranton, PA in June, snow in July in Argentina, record cold in South Africa and Australia, I think they will get it when the iceberg finally hits their ship.

AS THE WORLD'S scientists near consensus on human causes of climate change

I thought they ALREADY had consensus. Now we are denying something that is not concluded?

I like how they have backed off their certainty a bit while at the same time smacking those who are not conceding.

“Who could have forecast a 2-degree rise in Antarctica’s temperature in just 35 years?”

The only other place I read this claim was on the Sierra Club website from a 1997 article:

“Another major contributor to ocean mass could be the antarctic ice shelves, which are deteriorating at a rapid rate; two huge chunks, each the size of Rhode Island, have fallen off in the past two years. The mean temperature in Antarctica has risen by 2 degrees since 1950, and the enormous Larsen B ice shelf is riven with cracks, leading some scientists to predict its demise within two years.”

Guys like this writer must keep files on all this stuff forever.

So far, however, change has proceeded at a faster pace than even pessimistic scientists predicted a few years ago.

You often see such flawed "logic" put forward by proponents of the humans-caused-the-global-warming scam, but in fact such observations pull the rug out from under their main argument. They have put all of their faith into dire predictions made by scientists, because the scientists' models and predictions portend a dire future.

When they say that climate change is proceeding even faster than even pessimistic scientists predicted a few years ago, they want us to conclude that therefore the situation should be treated with even more urgency than before.

However, a much more rational and intelligent way to interpret such "even greater than predicted" statements is to realize that they reveal the inconvenient truth that those scientists who made the original predictions have proven beyond a doubt the worthlessness of their own predictive powers.

The essence of real science is observing and analyzing a phenomenon, making hypotheses that may explain why the phenomenon occurs, and then devising tests or experiments that can generate unambiguous evidence that either supports or does not support those hypotheses. If the result of an experiment is "the result was much greater than we predicted", that is not a validation of the prediction. Rather, it is the opposite - it reveals that whatever mechanism may have been driving the results, that mechanism is not at all well understood by the person who made the prediction. It shows that the predictor's model or hypothisis is wrong, not that it is right...

Yet know-nothings like the author of this article would have us take the results of failed predictions as an urgent impetus to immediate action.

Our local deniers need only look around ... at the shrinking South Cascades Glacier and Chikamin Glacier in the Glacier Peak Wilderness, or the rapidly receding glacial tongues of Canada's Columbia Icefield -- a vital water source for the Columbia and other great North American rivers.

Or go to the Begich, Boggs Visitor Center outside of Anchorage, built to give visitors vistas of the Portage Glacier. The glacier has retreated so far that it can no longer be seen.

Funny how they never notice the glaciers that are growing.

Of course, National Geographic says that many glaciers are growing because of global warming.

How conveeeeenient.

I can see Connelly hasn't changed a bit since I used to read him for a laugh in my Seattle days. Still a pumped-up little goose-stepper all for diversity as long as it isn't of opinion, and anyone who disagrees with him must either have ulterior motives or simply be eeevil. That, alas, is about the depth of political discourse in that one-party town. A pity, really.

In point of fact the issue is still very much in flux scientifically, which is one reason the eco-zealots are starting to hedge their bets by moving the party line from "global warming" to "climate change." When your Global Warming conference is postponed for snow you end up looking like the idiot you probably are; when you can fall back on "climate change" it tends to help you evade the obvious questions, at least for awhile.

It lasts until somebody has the courage to point out that climates do change; otherwise we'd still be growing wheat in Algeria and wine grapes in England. What is ironic is the plaintive insistence that it is the mean old capitalist KKKorporation Exploiters Of The Earth who are responsible for meddling in matters beyond their understanding; in fact, that very same course of action is precisely what the Greens are pushing. End carbon emission? Good luck with that. And if we could it would do what, precisely? Well, we have a computer model here and a computer model there, which bear approximately the same resemblance to the real world as a Super Mario game does to your morning commute.

What is irritating is not that True Believers such as Connelly have bought into the entire thing - stupidity ought to be painful but it isn't. What is irritating is that he preaches a stifling, politically correct orthodoxy that may not be challenged lest the challenger wind up in the lead role in an auto da fé in the name of the Goddess of Tolerance. It's self-parody, really, the cruelest parody of them all.

we need more facts about this global warming cabal.......Who gets the money and how and from whom?

The liberals are fighting like like death to get global warming done and the loudest screamers are the most crooked so........where is the money ?
