Ok, perhaps it is the same person. Still, that doesn’t prove anything else. We have place names in the Bible that correspond to place names in non-Biblical records, and we can be fairly confident that they relate to the same sites. To me, this person’s name being confirmed is no more significant then the place names.

I dont see what all the fuss is about. No thinking person has ever asserted that the Bible is devoid of factual history. The question is how much of it is factual, given that its various books have been transmitted by a combination of oral tradition and hand-copied text, with most books undergoing plenty of rounds of both.
I don't see what the fuss is about either. There are plenty of people in the Bible that have historical, non-religious records of their existence.

It's a mystery to me why people are surprised that historical books (Kings, Chronicles, &c.) would be less true than histories written today. Because people don't like the idea of Biblical stories being true. If they're true, it leads to conclusions they don't want to reach. Like God is real. People fear the idea of a date of accountability.
