Liberal white guilt is a fresh take? I had to check and make sure a) this was really being posted on FR and b) it really came from Investor’s Business Daily. I don’t get how that happened. The cartoon’s retarded. The internet/mobile technology is a bit more than a fad. It’s up there with the printing press, radio, television. And I really don’t get what that has to do with Paris Hilton.

I am deathly allergic to “liberal white guilt” but after viewing this cartoon, I am just fine. My impression was that people around the world must think we are crazy for the Paris in Chains episode, the TomKat/Brangelina worship, etc. Actually, there is a very funny film, The Gods Must Be Crazy, that I am reminded of when I look at this cartoon.

As an imperialist running dog capitalist myself, I can see where a techno geek might be upset, but the thing that the child is holding in the cartoon could just as easily be a copy of People magazine.
