About damn time he’s shown some backbone.

Second!

As PO’d as I am at the President lately, I’m really glad to see he’s showing some spine on this one.

Too little too late. Gonzales had been portrayed, accurately I think, as an incompetent moron and that will not wash off.

The White House is right on this, unfortunately, Bush has so compromised himself in so many other areas that nobody is going to support him anymore.

Don't confuse backbone with the human instinct of self-preservation.

Exactly so.

“With respect, it is with much regret that we are forced down this unfortunate path which we sought to avoid by finding grounds for mutual accommodation,”

The Dims seek power not “mutual accomodation”.

“About damn time he’s shown some backbone.”

He should have pulled the plug on this a long, long time ago.

“The attorneys serve at my pleasure and I have fired them. There will be no further discussion on this matter, or of any other Congressional “oversight” activity that so clearly and unconstitutionally violates the separation of powers.”

There. That was a 10 second press conference.

He has repeatedly let this kind of nonsense drag on and on and on and on to his own and the nation’s detriment.

Really? Nobody is going to support him anymore? Absolutely nobody... Well I do support strongly support him, so that is one supporter and I am sure that there are tens of millions of people who strongly support him.

This is stupid. With all of the problems facing America, the Democrats still want to smear the President. What’s the point? His approval is way down, he’s lame duck, and not exactly winning friends lately.

Let it go. Do the work you were elected to do. Jerks.

It’s conventional wisdom that nobody supports Jorge Boosh.

Add my name to the list of Bush supporters.

Why is it necessary, after continual Bush bashing, that those of us supporting the President have to answer questions about supporting him on “every” issue.

Why are liberals NEVER asked that?

So from now on, just to annoy Bush critics, I’m going to claim to support him on (almost) every issue.
