Interesting, Snugs.

Still PM till he visits the Queen.

Wonder how she really feels about him? She doesn’t exactly show her feelings, but I suspect she may have a little fondness for the guy, or maybe I’m just believing what I saw in that movie (The Queen).

A good movie, by the way.

Of recent times the British royal family are reported to be left wing and some of their causes they pursue global warming and other ecology issues I would say confirms this.

Therefore I would think that Tony Blair was looked upon fairly favourably as will be Gordon Brown. We all know that Maggie Thatcher and the Queen did not get on.

One incident that is often forgotten and was the ultimate snub from Maggie was after the Falklands she took the salute from the victorious troops not the Queen in fact the Queen was not even invited to the parade. This is unheard of from a British PM as they are not the commander in Chief of any regiment. The department of defence administers them at the direction of the government but their commander in chiefs are members of the Royal family. This is of course a purely ceremonial role but nevertheless this is the protocol.
