An elected opposition is NOT a “shadow government”. They are an officially elected opposition to an official ruling majority. There is nothing “shadow” or stealthy about it in this case. It’s all quite right and quite in the open.

In this country no, in any country that uses a parlimentary system, yes, I am going to guess you have never ever left this country, or been someone else. Even in Canada, they refer to the opposition government as shadow governments. They do in most of the free world, here is another shocker, in the UK, they do not even have a president, yep, its true, they have a prime minister, different systems, different terms, different meanings, for different countries.

And I offer you one suggestion, please write a letter to England, Canada, Austrialia, and every other country that uses the westminster system, and give them your defination of shadow government, and complain and demand they change the names they use, then write to the nice people who create dictionaries, and demand they do the same.
The greatest disinformation of all....is ignorance spread by the inability to grasp foreign concepts.
