The funniest ufo that I heard about involved a buzzard. Someone caught it and waited to just after sundown, tied a long rope on one of its legs. A burlap bag was tied to the other end. The bag was soaked in kerosene and lit. The bird was released and it flew upward in circles.

After it looked back a few times, did it go supersonic?

I do not know that that actually happened. It was told as the truth. I would imagine that the bird would break a speed record. I have wondered what happened to the poor bird and if it set any woods on fire.

There was a male student that slept a lot more than normal when I was attending College. Someone caught a buzzard and tied its wings so it could not fly. We took it into the sleepers room one day. He was sleeping as usual and one of my friends placed the bird on the boys chest. When the boy woke up he was nose to beak with the bird.

He was very angry when he finally calmed down.

In some cultures, seeing the Big Bird is a foretelling of Death, you know. It could have really fried his CPU...!

"To see a buzzard in your dream, symbolizes death and decay. It may represent an ugly aspect of yourself".

And:"Moulting and songless birds, denotes merciless and inhuman treatment of the outcast and fallen by people of wealth. "

Obviously not a UFO because......

It was filmed by someone who knew how to use a camera.

It was filmed by someone who did not live in a trailer park.

It was filmed by someone who didn’t own a “Who Farted?” hat.

I could go on and on.................

The history of this country shows how back-yard and garage and corn-field experimenters in many aspects of flight contributed to the development of U.S. air superiority.

From the Wright brothers on down to the mechanical geniuses, their fiddling with contraptions led to us having at least some kind of aircraft prepared in the years before the onset of World War I.

Now, it any inventive fiddlers put something up in the air over a cornfield, they're investigated, and if found guilty, they're excoriated, fined, put on probation or put in the slammer.

I do not believe it bothered him in that way. He was a Son of the South and some of us tend to view things differently. We were very careful around him for quite a while. He was a person who would get ahead instead of trying to get even.
