It is actually rather anemic for a whole country to put out only 5000 megawatts. The TVA alone puts our probably 22,000 megawatts, maybe more.

Demand has increased dramatically in Iraq as people add appliances and other electricity users ar a terrific rate. Gasoline is extremely cheap and people use generators regularly when the electricity is out. Just a few inconvenient facts for those trying to make it seem that Iraq is worse off today than they were under Saddam.
