Boycott helps drop Ford sales 6.8% in May
American Family Association ^ | June 8, 2007 | Donald E. Wildmon

Posted on 06/08/2007 3:34:04 PM PDT by MovementConservative

General Motors, Chrysler, Toyota sales increase during same period

For the 13th month out of the last 15, the boycott of Ford Motor Company by AFA and other pro-family groups has helped cause Ford to lose sales. Sales dropped 6.8% during May when compared with May 2006.

The drop came as sales for GM [up 9.6%], Chrysler [up 4.3%] and Toyota [up 14%] were all increasing. Of the big four, only Ford showed a loss.

AFA has identified Ford as a leading corporate promoter of homosexual marriage and the homosexual agenda. For more information on Ford’s promotion of the homosexual lifestyle, click here. More than 700,000 individuals have signed the Boycott Ford Pledge.

Even while losing billions of dollars and laying off of thousands of employees, Ford continues to financially support various homosexual groups.

Despite the effectiveness of the boycott, the mainstream media has refused to cover the story. Had homosexuals been boycotting Ford, the boycott would have been given extensive play in the mainstream media.

Because the mainstream media refuses to cover the boycott, AFA is asking that individuals forward this e-mail to friends and family.

Take Action If you haven't already done so, please sign the Boycott Ford Pledge.

Forward this e-mail to your local Lincoln, Mercury, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda or Ford dealer (all owned by Ford). Find their e-mail address here (click on the auto icon). Ask the dealer to forward it to CEO Alan Mulally.

Print the Boycott Ford Petition and distribute it at Sunday school and church.

Extremely important! Help us get the word out about Ford by forwarding this to friends and family! For more information on Ford's support for the homosexual agenda, click here.

Please help us get this information into the hands of as many people as possible by forwarding it to your family and friends.

Sincerely,

Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman American Family Association

You are correct sir.

And somehow I do not think Ford is all that worried about the AFA of Tubelo, Mississippi and their boycott.

Found On the Road Dead
Their folks should be able to get jobs at Disney.
I just got back from Disney World/Epcot - they've got some real flamers working for them down there.

I haven’t liked ford trucks since they put the queer flaring out skirt thing along where the running board is supposed to be. Dang they’re ugly! And the stupid indentation in the cab where the bed pickup body is against it — what if you want a stake body — looks like sh!t.

Ford used to be “the” truck for me, not any more, ford has gone to the dark side.

"Ford sucks, that’s why they are not selling cars...."

People buy what they want, be it fuel efficient vehicles, reliability, price, styling or performance.

Ford can't produce enough of the cars that are actually selling i.e. the Mustang.
Poor planing and marketing are big culprits.

Ford makes the best cars in the world! Heard that on today’s financial news. Glad I bought my Toyota when they were the best.

“J.D. Power and Associates on Wednesday released its annual Initial Quality Study. The study is widely considered to be the industry gold standard in tracking the quality of automotive design and production.

Ford snagged five top model segment awards, more than any other automaker this year. It also earned a Platinum Plant Quality Award for producing vehicles with the fewest defects.”

Besides, Toyota and GM and all the rest advertise in the homosexually oriented rags. Why they just decided to target Ford is a bit disingenuous.

Toyota sales are up 14%.
It must have something to do with that Queer Prius that they have been selling.

They are picking on Ford not because the advertise in the Advocate but because their sales were down. Thus, it looks like their boycott is working when actually it has very little if any impact at all.

"I just got back from Disney World/Epcot - they've got some real flamers working for them down there."

You went to Disney during Gay Days?! It's an annual event down here from June 1 to June ? It started out as only one day then it spread to a week. Now they say they take up the whole month of June. I warn everyone I know that if they must come down here to see Mickey, they need to come any other month of the year. The only reason they haven't started coming earlier than June is that there is a huge Florida homeschooling convention in Orlando around Memorial Day.

Oh, and I do have one of those Found On Road Dead vehicles. My husband said I just had to have it, but it turned out to be a real lemon. He got the Lincoln and gave me the FORD

True, but it doesn't help that Ford is sucking up to the gay lobby and thumbing their nose at family values. Chevy takes better advantage of the all-American image. I doubt the boycott made a difference in more than 10 sales though.

From J.D. Power the recognized leader in auto quality.

" Ford Motor Company received 14 total vehicle honors, more than any other automaker. In addition to the five first-place winners.

Ford's problem is they still have too many gas hogs in their lineup, quality isn't the problem. Perception of quality is a big concern but Ford will be touting these results in commercials and print advertising.

You certainly seem to take offense when normal people stand against the homosexual agenda.

Perhaps, we could boycott every company that advertised in the Gay Press, provided domestic partner benefits to gay employees or gave money to pro gay groups but then I would not be typing on my Apple iBook, nor would I be driving my Honda.

How about you? What kind of car do you drive?

Are you using an Apple Product or Microsoft?

Both companies give millions to gay causes.

"I wonder what Saleen & friends will do if Ford disappears."Hump up older Mustangs? or move other another model.

Ford won't disappear, worst case they will close plants that are not producing profitable vehicles and continue to make the others.

Renegotiating health care benefits are a strong option, "Do you want some or nothing when we're bankrupt?

Funny how things are these day, Ford can make a great car, so much better than those even 10 (Or less) years ago. My favorite and most reliable car is my 1965 Ford Custom (The cheaper sister of the Galaxy) great ride, handles great, (with some mods) acceleration is fantastic and I can actually work on it myself.

Passes everything but a gas station. ;-D
