You know, I was thinking, Truex won last week, and is very fast again this week.

Who is to say DEI is not giving him the the best engines, the best chassis, engineers, etc. now that Junior has decided to leave?

I think DEI wants Truex to make the Chase this year more than they want Junior. I think they know they have more invested in Truex!

Oh, and here is another thought to toss in your hat — Bass Pro Shops is not signed up for 2008 yet. Truex could be in the Bud car next year at DEI, and BassPro could follow Junior wherever he goes!

Check this out..........

NASCAR gets big lift on TNT: TNT’s new truck-mounted NASCAR set, making its debut Sunday at the Pocono 500, can be raised to the height of a 10-story building. It can rotate during races so analysts can swivel toward action on any part of the racetrack. During TNT’s prerace coverage, it will slowly revolve.

Many have suggested that.

During an interview Truex said Teresa left him a 20 minute message on his voice mail after his win. Personally I think she should have been at the track. Anyway, considering she never spoke to Jr at all for months at a time, perhaps she’s seen the light. hahahaha

I personally think it’s better to congratulate your first time winner in person. It’s just a personal thing with me but at this point there’s nothing she can do to erase the damage done. Giving the #8 to Jr would help somewhat, because Sr got that number FOR JR because his granddaddy Ralph raced that number. Not Teresa's granddaddy!! It belongs to him, a good portion of DEI belongs to him and his siblings as well, but is not to be.

I just wish he would go apologize to the jackman in person. LOL

UPDATE 2: Comments from Kurt Busch: “I regret my actions on Monday during the race. To accept the penalty, that’s what we’re going to do. I’m glad I’m here to race the car this weekend. We’ve got our work cut out for us to gain these 100 points back. The money, hopefully it goes to the NASCAR Foundation or whatever they do with the funds. We’re here to move forward. The real incident was out on the racetrack. What happened on pit road is the real story. I reached out for Jason Lee, the crew member on Joe Gibbs’ team, and left him a message to clear some of the air on things, to let him know that it was not my intention at all to put him in danger. What the beef is is between me and Tony out on the track.”(Clear!Blu PR)(6-9-2007)

Teresa should have just figured out a way to make “the future now.” When she passes, the company belongs to all of Dale’s kids. She should have given it to them now, and found a way she can remain the figurehead.

Heck, she is branching out the company to Entertainment, well then let her run all of that and give the racing side to someone more hands on.

But what I really think it is about is control of the company. She wants it. Junior doesn’t want her to have it.

There’s a Busch race from Nashville tonight on ESPN2 in case anyone’s interested. Countdown to green is on now.

Mad Dawg Wallace is on the pole.

One note to both Speed and ESPN, we/I don’t care to see how the brakes are put together or how to put more or less camber in the car.

I like Kyle Petty’s analysis on Speed this afternoon giving critique on the CARS and the DRIVERS and how they’re running, what they’re doing, why they fill up with fuel and put sticker tires on, etc. who’s running well and who isn’t. Like Flash having trouble with the brakes which actually scared him. They bled them and he went back out but came in saying it still was bad.

Yeah. someone should write a book on him if it hasn’t been done already. They interviewed someone earlier who said he had a thank you for not smoking sign in his office. France came by and asked if he knew who the series sponsor was and he said yes Winston, France said well don’t you think you should promote the sponsor not disallow their product. Something to that effect, I don’t remember it verbatim.
