“wolf in sheep’s clothing” has been my thoughts for a while now. he pulled in big name in the NRTL to try to make himself more palatable to the pro-life voters, as well. i believe he did this in hopes that people would misconstrue it as the organization backing him, therefore garnishing more votes. i hope people see that for what it is....
Whether I think that abortion is murder, or Romney thinks that it is not....
The Bible makes it evident that abortion is not murder, despite arguments to the contrary.
22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
According to the Bible gathering sticks on the Sabbath was a greater crime, but you all do not have to take my word for it.
Numbers 15 :32-36 (King James Version)
Just a little food for thought.
My life changed when I finally understood that God’s Law was true whether I agreed with it or not and that by asking Him to show me how to live according to His Will was the only way to experience the abundant life He promised.
Please pardon my language here.
When the Pharisees confronted Jesus concerning the Laws concerning divorce for example ....Jesus quoted higher Law.
I believe that this was the real milestone (I am avoiding “crux of the matter”) when it comes to what the real schism and controversy was all about. What the religious authorities of the time so resented Jesus for. Why they railroaded him, and had him executed.
The Mosaic Divorce Laws were intricate and well defined, until some little upstart came along and quoted that “from the beginning” business......”What God has joined together...etc....”
That really pissed of those Pharisees because the intrinsic Truth was recognized and was so radical that it threatened a revolution of sorts, which eventually occurred as we all know.
I enjoy History, but when it comes to Theology, I believe that people should know just exactly what it is that they believe in. Unfortunately, that is rather uncommon in my experience.
We see the same sort of stuff all around us today.
So called churches who it appears are lead by persons who seem to have no real notion of what the concept “Ecclesia” is all about.
Oh well, I’ll just always be perceived as some small voice, crying in the wilderness.......
Perhaps I’ll look more into just what Elijah was trying to hear....and then I might have more clues......
1 Kings 19
My FRiend, we can spend the rest of our lives seeking and we will not even have scratched the surface.
EXACTLY: BTW: There I go by the Grace of God,..too.
I agree with you 100%..
