Not under the current laws. It is not an unqualified good.
Didn’t the French start New Orleans? They should have known better than try to build a city below sea-level. If there was no occupied land below sea-level, the levee break would have been an inconvenience rather than a disaster.
Thanks for the thread Alas Babylon! I never watch the Sunday shows as they always make my blood boil. It is more fun reading the Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread to see the reaction to what the bubbleheads in DC have to say.
Sickening. And then a judge overturned that Prop.
I knew then that this issue being solved was as close to impossible as any, especially because since then EVEN the border States keep electing open border governments.
Google it sometime .. it has been an issue for years
They reason it's so prominent this time is because the media is hammering the President over the head with it
When it was the Democrats in CONGRESS that side stepped the rules and procedures of producing this bill
With that said .. the President is wrong in depending this bill as is
They can vote for it only because the republicans like McCain and Bush give them cover.
Total agreement, keep up the good work EC!!
The more I think about it the more you may well be right and it fits his character that he sees nothing wrong in this.
OK, I am watching Murtha...he still thinks redeployment is the only answer. He continues on with the civil war garbage.
Stephy actually asks Murtha about his threat to COngressman Rogers(I think that is who it was) and the resolution to condemn Murtha for his actions. Murtha avoids answering the question and just rambles on about how they appropriate dollars.
Blah blah blah. I think Murtha has a bp problem; he is always so red in the face.
We don't have a secure border [including tracking down and deporting visa overstays.] I am not referring to individual actions. It is about policy in a macro sense. Why aren't our borders secure? Where did you come up with that phony strawman about individual border agents?
Trying to curtail illegals in my city has caused our Town Council nothing but grief. They have to hire body guards, get their businesses egged. I disagree it should happen at the local level - the Feds have let it happen - and they should fix it. This is a national disgrace.
You are correct in who made Cindy what she is today.
It’s typical of the DBM to pull their hands back and say “wasn’t me” when something goes bad that they helped build up.
ANd the “we just reported what we saw” BS is just that...and was tired and old long before Ii ever got into the business.
Secondly, I believe that she would be singing a very different tune, had she been asked to join the Presidents speech-writing team.
I agree absolutely. She's been sour grapes, backstabbing Bush for quite some time. This recent article is nothing new with her - just twisting the knife some more.
I know folks are going to get mad- but it was Tony’s stand on illegal aliens that got him the gig in Washington. It was the deciding factor for the Admin.......President Bush knew there would be anger and a backlash...
I think he expected the race card stuff to work, and underestimated how many people truly have been effected by the illegal aliens- not to mention he underestimated the power of the internet.
They don’t realize that many more people READ blogs and forums than actually comment on them- and that people are using the internet to get their info instead of the media and politicians.....
Everyone in DC knew we would be angry— they just didn’t realize that we would put down our foots on the issue...
Thanks for these graphics. Very telling.
Thank you!!
;-)
I think it’s strategically wise to attack Bush, right now, for almost everything and anything.
