I just tell the RNC the money I would have sent them has instead gone to taxes to pay for public services to illegal immigrants.

If the White House, Congress, Senate, etc. want Mexicans so bad, then lets relocate Washington DC to Mexico. Oh wait, isn’t that essentially what we are doing? It appears we are moving from the United States of America to the Mexican Republic of North America! This Amnesty Bill for Illegals has got to be one of the most detrimental bills ever proposed. This is destroying the US culture, what we believe in, our security; a complete sell out of the American people.

A simple constitutional lesson and reminder for the White House and all of America. As US Citizens, it is our right, and our obligation, afforded to us by the Constitution of the United States, to reform, change, replace, and/or eliminate a government that does not effectively represent and protect the needs and desires of the American people.

Enforce the border, enforce the law, protect America!

Thank you, Jeb Bush, for getting behind this bill. Now we can truly bury any possibility of another Bush running for the White House.

Goodbye, Jeb!

It has pitted some of Mr. Bush’s most stalwart Congressional and grass-roots backers against him

Pitted? No. Turned? YES!

I've had enough of George "Sell-out" Bush. If you can find reason to impeach the traitor, go for it!

Sorry to say but I have a Moore/Sheehan type of Moonbat in my immediate family. We hardly agree on anything at all. This is one issue we do agree on. We both want the border secured and immigration cut way back. The so called leaders of BOTH parties better pay attention to just how many Americans dont like this bill.

“divisions within a party whose unity has been the envy of
Democrats”.
____________________________
I couldn’t get any further than this, one of the funniest lines I have ever read.I don’t think “unity” and “envy” are the correct words here. I think Democrats have been silently appreciative of just how far they’ve been able to nudge the RINOs in their direction; I think Democrats have been privately amazed at how much George Bush is ALREADY the ideal Democrat, while, just for the sake of
partisan role-playing they STILL have to pretend there’s so much about him that has to be challenged and undermined.
It’s the Democrats who have always had the unity: at the moment, they look somewhat fractured, but only because they’ve found new forms of the “Left” and “farther Left”
templates to squeeze themselves into.

I have an idea that might help.

START ASKING THESE ELITES ABOUT THEIR OWN HISTORY OF EMPLOYING ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Just ask. I have *never* heard any reporter/citizen/pundit put the question to Bush (or through his emmissary, Snow) Has the Bush family ever hired illegal labor for their homes, their businesses, their ranches, their many domiciles?"

Isn't a lot of the passion of the elites for this monstrosity a sort of self-justifying tactic? They show such marked sympathy for lawbreakers...why? Have they broken the law, a want to change the law and thereby change the nature of their own lawlessness?

Nobody has asked McCain this question--and he's been in the SW for many years, and comes from a tradition of slaveholders in Mississippi. He's got a grand palace in Arizona and I don't think the much younger blonde (the one with the rich daddy who financed McCain's politics) he married does much of the housework.

Ask McCain, "Has you family every employed illegals?" Think about the fireworkds that would ensue. McInsane would blow up, much to the entertainment of onlookers, like a white-haired Rumplestiltskin.

What would he answer, once he stopped cursing and spluttering? Yes, we have. No, we have not. (Yeah, in Arizona for decades and living the rich man's life.) I don't know. I can't remember. How dare you ask me a question, you miserable peon.

Just asking the question would change a lot.

We conservatives supported Bush and really caught a lot of hell for doing so. So how does he thank us? He kicks us in the teeth by supporting the instant legalization of a bunch of illegals who have zero respect for America or the law (in fact, a lot of the time, they treat us like total garbage). Then he goes on TV saying how bad we are if we don’t support this AMNESTY BILL.

Thanks, Mr. Bush. I’m so glad that this is what I get for supporting you through thick and thin. If you’re the good guy, government from top to bottom needs to be razed the ground and rebuilt.

I just read this article in the news. Sorry if it’s been posted previously.

But life is not so simple for Mariana, who insisted that only her first name be published because she is illegally in the United States and worries she could be deported to Guatemala, where she was born.

“I’m even afraid of eating an apple in the library because I’m afraid of getting caught,” she said.

Mariana also worries about how she will pay her tuition and what kind of work she will get after she completes school. “What happens next? Without a work permit, how do you exercise your degree?” she said during a recent interview.

Doesn’t W get it? He needs to back a new, tougher bill and scrap this one. Why can’t he do that? Get those same senators in a backroom and get tougher. All our angst would go away.

I don’t understand the President. Why can’t he proceed logically and speak out loudly on his own in support of secured borders. Instead he takes the tack of a worker program as a primary goal and even uses the rhetoric of the Democrat party. This is just as unnecessary as the Harriet Myers debacle. These self inflicted wounds just don’t make sense. There is nothing being gained for his party or America. Does he really believe in turning a blind eye to a growing slave class so that some corporations who utilize illegals can continue to have cheap labor? Do corporations have a right to cheap labor?

I have a friend who came illegally and now has legal status. I hung sheet rock with him when he needed some help one weekend. He seems a decent guy and speaks excellent English.
I still think he views himself as a Mexican even though he has an American wife and family. Recently a son of his crossed from Mexico illegally and now is working a construction job. The wife told me the owner of the construction business is letting him drive a vehicle of his.
I do not yet know which construction company here in Chesterfield County VA is doing this but I will report them when I do find out. I hate to do it but I can’t look the other way...I think people who are getting construction or home improvement done should demand a guarantee of legal status from the companies.

I wish that W could vote for a 3rd term, for I would be happy to vote against him.

BTW, I’m not sure for whom would I be stuck to vote instead of him.

“White House officials said it had led them to engage the blogosphere in a concerted way for the first time, posting defenses on liberal and conservative sites. “

Cool ... are they going to send a hack out to FR to defend the indefensible?

Fresh Fish!
