This is definitely one of those conservative be danged, and the ‘rule of law’ be danged moments. I thought government would behave as government has always behaved concerning conservatism but ‘rule of law’? Once ‘rule of law’ is out the window, prepare.... for chaos comes next.

CALL! CALL! CALL! CALL! AND KEEP CALLING TILL THE LINES FRY!

WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!

Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti illegal immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them. This is a bipartisan issue not a Conservative or Liberal issue BUT AN AMERICAN issue.

STOP AMNESTY NOW!! WE CAN DO IT!!

The best way to stop Shamnesty

you don’t want to do what’s right for America

That does it for me; I'm registering as an Independent.

Kiss my ass, GOP.

Bush doesn’t have to rub elbows with them every day. Here in North Texas, there are huge neighborhoods made up almost exclusivly of llegal aliens. At almost every house, there are 10 cars parked in the yard at night, houses that nightly are on the recieving end of drive-by shootings. The cars have no tags, inspection stickers, or insurance.

Just two days ago an illegal hung her four young daughters and herself. One baby, an eight month old, managed to survive. Live in boy friend also illegal is missing. Our county will get to bury them and pay for saving the baby.

He hasn’t changed. We are just now finding out his true agenda and it isn’t good for us. This is Daddy’s agenda. That is why he is buddy buddy with Clinton. No more Clintons or Bushs! We have been “outFOXed”!

Bush is suffering from the same malady - Washington Elitism or WE - that virtually all in Washington suffer from once they've been there too long.

In its early stages WE sufferers forget their roots and forget who sent them to Washington.

As WE progresses the sufferer advances to insulting and berating their supporters as they believe their opinions and ideas are superior to their now confused supporters.

In the terminal stage the WE sufferer angers their now former supporters so much that they are voted out of office or, in extreme WE cases, their former supporters call for impeachment.

...they’re trying to rile up people’s emotions.

Your "America's soul" phoney baloney gets my emotions riled up more than any talk show host, Mr. Bush.

You can count on not having my support, I hope you don't need it during your waning days in office or beyond.

MR. Bush says us critics are only looking at a “Narrow Slice” of the bill. Here is a “NARROW SLICE OF IT” that I want Bush to explain before he gets an ounce of support from me on this, and that’s the 24-Hour Background check. Does he really think a low-grade government clerk is going to be able to do a thorough background search of someone in 24 hours? Of someone who has made a practice out of hiding their identity for as long as they have been in this country?

For crying out loud, If I want to purchase a hand gun in my state I have to wait 3-days for a background check, and I am a law abiding, tax paying, flag waving Veteran, with roots in this country going back to the early 1700’s

I think its time to drug test all government employees starting with the President and Senate.....could some foreign agents have put something in the water in DC to kill common sense? I find no other plausible explanation.

“Bush expressed his determination to fight for changes that would let millions of illegal immigrants gain legal status. He cast the debate as a struggle over America’s soul and its reputation as a welcoming nation.”

These are NOT the words of a “conservative.” These are the words of a Wilsonian Liberal.

Immigration has been the lifeblood of a lot of our country’s history,

He's either extremely stupid or extremely deceptive, and I don't think he could possibly be so stupid to not know the difference between legal and illegal immigration.

This is liberal 'weasel-words' being spoken by a (theoretically) conservative President.

This is actually, a better (though more baseless) deception than even slick willie is able to pull off.

He's a liar and a cheat, our President is.

We shred Bill Clinton for shirking his duty to take on Terrorists and take them seriously among his many other shortcomings, lies etc.

The failure of GWB to close the borders of this country on 9/12/01 is a worse offense to me than all of Clinton’s combined.

If a man crawls through your open window and hurts your family. Do you not close and lock your window in the future?

You know, I’m curious what my Republican congressman thinks about this Republican President I voted TWICE for and defended since Gore tried to steal the election....I wonder what he thinks of Bush stating I don’t want what’s best for MY country and I’m nothing but a racist. now i know my Congressman supports amnesty, but does he supports publically, since he still has to run for election every two years, the shreading this president has given the conservatives that not only put 43 in office but him as well?

I think I’m going to have to ask him that.
