Lt. Col. Craig Kozeniesky, the battalion commander, and Sgt. Maj. William Jordan, the senior enlisted man, assembled Marines whose enlistments were running short. Marines who were there dont remember that Kozeniesky or Jordan spent much time speaking of the complexities of U.S. foreign policy in the 21st century. Instead, the two asked the Marines to help the battalions younger members.
I just told them: Weve been together this long. We need you the young Marines need you, Jordan said
Finally I just told them, Everybody who is with us, move to the right side of the room, Jordan said. Only a handful stayed put. About 175 moved immediately to the right side.
I was blown away, Jordan said. In all my years in the Marine Corps, I never saw anything like it.

200 Marines volunteer to extend tours to help mentor new recruits
I thought our friend said the opposite........
On 5/19 we brought brownies to the local recruiter offices of the 5 branches. for GOE’s ORA.
As a former Marine myself and from a family of Marines, I can say I believe this. When I graduated high school in the early eighties from a small school and our graduating class was about 165, about 20 plus male members of my graduating class joined the Marines. I still keep in touch with most of them and only (1) does not support the war. Of course he is a liberal democrat. Politics knows no bounds.
Wow. Stories like this will really screw up a lib’s day. LOL!
Outstanding!
Pinging the despicable murtha for an education.
True Americans.
PING! (thanks for the great posts lately, bnelson44...:)
PRESENT ARMS!!!!
I believe it too. What I can't believe is the LA Times actually reported this.

The Battle Of The Alamo
Unsheathing his sword during a lull in the virtually incessant bombardment Colonel William Barret Travis drew a line on the ground before his battle-weary men. In a voice trembling with emotion he described the hopelessness of their plight and said, “those prepared to give their lives in freedom’s cause, come over to me.”
Without hesitation, every man, save one, crossed the line, Colonel James Bowie, stricken with pneumonia, asked that his cot be carried over.
My husband switched units to cover someone who was whining he didn’t want to go to Iraq. I am so proud of him. It doesn’t surprise me, though. Except for a small handful, Marines are always gung ho to get the job done.
Heh. I’m sure he’d find a way to say they were coerced. And then Kerry would agree and say they were Stuk in IraK. LOL
Please thank your husband for me. And thank you for supporting him on the homefront.
amazing but sad we have to be surprised that they would do their job and report the news
The Slimes wrote that?
shocking
I love our Marines :)
a sad day for democrats
