POST FALLS, Idaho  —  Two home-schooled teenagers in this northern town say they are carrying loaded guns to the library, grocery store and other public areas for self-defense, as a crime deterrent, and to educate others about their rights.

, 18, carries a loaded on his hip. His 15-year-old brother, Steven, carries a in a sling on his back.

Police have been called on several occasions to question the teens but have not found the teens to be in violation of the law.

NO! NO! You’ve got it all wrong! Idaho is a terrible and frightening place to live. Ferocious carnivores lurking around every turn waiting to pounce on and devour you. Snow up to your eyeballs by Labor Day. No, people are much better off and safer if they stay right where they are and deal with familiar circumstances.

LMAO !

So, does that mean I have to stay forever in STUPID WASHINGTON STATE WHICH DOESN'T EVEN ALLOW PEOPLE TO HAVE A CLASS-3 FIREARMS ( Machine Gun) PERMIT????

Lawdy, I need my own machine gun so bad.....I want to be able to squeeze the trigger for two seconds and know that I've just burned through fifty dollars in ammo.

I want to chew up so many target brackets that out of frustration I will teach myself how to weld so that I can build metal ones that will stand up to automatic fire

I want to be able to make my own customized automatic-fire ringtones.

I want to be able to try pickup lines on women like "Yeah, my car isn't so great but I have a watercooled Browning AND a Schmeisser at home...want to go to the range?"

"sigh"

I’m a little ashamed to live in a country where this is considered news.

Careful. You might have to take a job with the Dixie Chicks after that remark :-)

Well, in 2005 Idaho’s population was ranked at number 40 in the nation, and for all violent crime it is ranked at 41. Specifically, for murder & non-negligent manslaughter 41; robbery, a low 49; and motor vehicle theft 44. However, larceny/theft stands at 36; property crime 37; aggravated assault 31, and disturbingly, forcible rape at 13.

Well, the folks in Idaho clearly need to get more women packin'. A .45 shot to the groin (or the mere possibility of it happening) would, I'm sure, reduce that rate of forcible rape,

Someone has a nice starter collection

hehe!  Very Nice! All that's needed is a vivacious and buxom 'lady of the house' who enjoys cleaning them  :-)

It was a nice time to grow up, and this was the early seventies. Not all that long ago!!

Not a long time on the calendar, but eons in terms of societal decay.

The Left could destroy Eden, given the chance.

I've not yet had the opportunity to visit Washington, but from what I understand, it's a fine state.

The Eastern side of the state has the sanest people but if you like trees and green things the West side is the best.  Be sure to be heavily armed when visiting Seattle, and be sure to watch your back if you accidentally visit Capitol Hill.

.as long as one avoids SeaTac like the plague.

If you're going to fly in, there's not much chance of your avoiding SeaTac because that's where the airport is   :-)

Other than the SeaTac Strip having been the favored pickup site for the Green River Killer, it's not such a bad area although the scenery may leave something to be desired.

I hear there's great hunting above Spokane, and I may make a scouting trip up there this summer.

I apologize, I don't know about that but you're probably right.

Nonetheless, we're always looking to recruit good conservatives to dillute the Kalifornicators who can't stop flooding in. Should you decide you need a change of scenery, c'mon over to the Gem State...we need good, right thinking folks.

Thank you so much for your kind words....I would LOVE to move to Idaho one day...it's definitely something I'm considering.   :-)

I understand. Someone should give these people a hint that less is more.

I'm not so sure that the Black Panthers are capable of such a subtle and intellectually-oriented perspective...yelling, murder, and violent racism is more their speed.

That's a Lotus 1-2-3 format file.

Thank you!

I looked around on the internet and couldn't find any 'free' Lotus file viewers, but it looks like other have answered the poster's question about crime rates so I will leave the matter be for the time being.

Thanks very much for the info, however   :-)

This is something us homeschoolers go through regularly.

I'm very sorry to hear that.  The State just keeps fighting you every step of the way, don't they?

Hopefully homeschoolers won't be cowed by the jackbooted thugs, as their children will lead far better lives as a result of their parents' hard work.

I'm currently working on a solution for this:

What a delightful yard ornament.  I need four of those, one mounted on each corner of the wall surrounding my compound, and controlled by an automated infrared sighting / tracking / firing system.

So I think you are right about Idaho.

Glad you think so...it's nice to know where the good spots to find a posse are  :-)

A quick google on “Jude Doty” will give a lot of background on this family, and their brushes with the law in Washington.

It's sad to see that he's had some troubles...hopefully he can get things worked out.

Well, I guess someone has to open up this can of worms. We can carry openly, but not concealed. This just makes very little sense to most mushy-middle Americans today.

Unfortunately, starting this debate now might not be the best idea. Nothing says that we'd win, especially with the Dems in charge of both Houses and the media.

And as terrible and miserable as Idaho is, and it is really, really bad, Lions, bears, and wolves oh my, Montana is even worse. Never gets above 20 degrees, ever, there is always snow on the ground, and our fanged critters are even bigger then the ones in Idaho. So just stay in your nice safe warm places in California, Nevada and such. Please, please stay there.
