until all variations of God are recognized it- is neccesary to abide by the seperation of Church and school

I would prefer a separation of school and government. Even though schools have been quasi governmental (ie they collected taxes) for somewhat over 100 years, it's only since the 1930s or so that local governments, mostly county and state level at first, with the feds sticking their nose in where they have no delegated authority to do so, being in the 1950s in a small way, and then with both feet and rear end too, starting in the late '60s or so.

” Through all this firing of 180+ rounds, the police never fired their weapons, and waited four hours after the last shot was fired (apparently by the perp when he shot himself) before “storming” the church.”

Not unlike the Virginia Tech incedent where the police surrounded the building and waited for the perp to run out of ammo and people to kill.

Our SWAT team wouldn't have let this guy proceed as far as he did. The police response doesn't sound at all adequate in Moscow. We actually have 3 SWAT teams available...Chubbuck PD (ours), Pocatello PD and the Sheriff's Dept.

Actually, not. this guy was not an applicant, but rather a convict (well of a misdemeanor assault on a former live in girlfriend.) Also a wife killer, as well as a cop killer and grandfather killer (I'm a well armed grandfather myself).

My comment was based on incorrect info from "FromMoscow". The actual details on the suspect were very different from what was originally claimed.

Yeh - they're calling it an AK now, which certainly matches the amount of ammunition expended in that relatively short time in front of the courthouse and the lines of bullet-holes on the vehicles and structures struck. However, they're still insisting it was legally purchased, which I doubt strongly if it was, in fact, full auto as it appears. Time will tell.

That was the first Moscow LEO killed in the line of duty in around 110 years. Prayers for the family.

The volume of holes up the hood and windshield certainly looks like the consequence of a full auto burst. I really doubt anyone would produce a pattern like that with intentionally aimed fire.

When I heard he killed his wife AND that she worked as a janitorial employee in the courthouse, another possibility arose. It may have been a jealous husband killing his cheating wife and going after the office where the "other party" works. Choosing a violent solution wouldn't be out of character given his prior record.

I agree with you- I would like them to be more seperate as well-
But, the school system is not the issue here- unless I have missed something?
