California and other states would lose Representatives if we stopped counting illegal aliens in the census the way we do now.
Purely personal opinion: I think representation should be determined, not by population figures, but by certified citizens who are registered to vote.
I really don’t think we have a good handle on the illegal immigrant population to begin with. They usually don’t cooperate with the census takers.
