SEATTLE - A man who tried to position himself as a leader of the anti-war movement by claiming to have participated in war crimes while serving in Iraq is facing federal charges of falsifying his record.
Jesse Adam Macbeth, 23, formerly of Phoenix, garnered attention on blogs and in some alternative media after he began claiming in 2005 to have been awarded a Purple Heart for his service, which he said included slaughtering innocents in a Fallujah mosque. His story was contradicted by his discharge form, showing that he was kicked out of the Army after six weeks at Fort Benning, Ga., in 2003 because of his entry level performance and conduct.
A complaint unsealed Friday in U.S. District Court in Seattle charged him with one count of using or possessing a forged or altered military discharge certificate, and one count of making false statements in seeking benefits from the Veterans Administration.

Six weeks and then bounced out on your ass doesn’t make you a veteran.
bump
Is he related to John Kerry?
KILLIN UR DOODZ
Honestly, a hanging is to good for him.
I am amazed MSNBC is even reporting the fraud.
from article:
Organizations that opposed the war, including Iraq Veterans Against the War, posted videos or statements containing Macbeths claims on their Web sites. In one videotaped interview, a skinny, stuttering Macbeth, dressed in a camouflage jacket, described slaughtering hundreds of people in a mosque: We would burn their bodies ... hang their bodies from the rafters in the mosque, he said.
Yeah I am as well. This story is on their homepage, the same page that features the Dixie Chicks weekly and daily global warming nonsense.
After learning from others that the claims were false. This twerp's claims were so transparent that simply scratching the surface revealed them to be a fraud, something the "IVAW" couldn't even be bothered with.
What he did was the equivalent of flunking Kindergarten.
To bomb out in basic training you have to be terminally stupid or a 'couple of french fries short of a Happy Meal'.
Or to Kerry's VVAW buddy Al Hubbard?
Well, if he had “served” in Vietnam and had 3 Purple Hearts, I might just believe him. (Sarcasm off).
If he looked real good in bike shorts and didn’t look like a wussy with a “P”, I might believe him. S/O.
If he looked even better at NASA in a little blue paper suit, I might believe him.
If he could really throw a football like a “real” “man” (?), I might believe him. S/O
Where do all these weirdos come from? When did treason, perfidy and betrayal become so common, acceptable and fashionable among the chattering classes?
You know, after reading that garbage he said I am first amazed and disturbed that anyone, I mean anyone, would believe that crap. Secondly I am amazed that these “peace” lovers that taped and listened to his BS and believed him, held hiim up as some kind of hero and believing that he killed so many innocents. The sick twisted mind of a liberal commie.
Put this POS out of his misery
The guy has caterpillars over his eyes.
(Lady) Macbeth: “Out, out damned spot!”
When I got into PI work, I started looking closely at those with all the awards, medals, claiming fantastical things; lo and behold, there are many, many of these frauds out there, it’s very disheartening because the deceive so many, look at the damage this guy has done.
What got me interested and gave me the guidlines for looking into this phenomena is the book “Stolen Valor” by Burkett.
Every war produces these types, I’m sure there must be some interesting studies on this. Mainly, I’m just outraged, not interested...
